It seem to retarded to be true, nobody is that stupid, than again some people always proves me wrong.
if that guy really thought this joke was in the least "appropriate", then he's really got some issues. also birth control pills work by preventing certain hormones from being released, and therefore unable to reach the female ovaries, so it doesn't release the egg, or doesn't make an egg (etc). i doubt it will have any effect on spermatogenesis. again another person in the world (ie the april fool's guy) who needs to know some more biology. not to mention common sense. whether or not she is pregnant, whether this is from this year, or two years ago, well i have my doubts.
I wished i could have Ralph's Encyclopedia brain last year -bowroflarms-bowroflarms-bowroflarms-bowroflarms
Its true that some people know shit all about medications though. Sometimes doctors don't tell their patient what they are prescribing, and if the script they write doesn't have very detailed instructions then the patient can be left completely clueless. If you don't have common sense (which some people do lack) you can definitely get confused. Case in point, one of the pharmacists i work with was telling me of this guy she had asking to return a package of suppositories because he said the pills were, 'too big to swallow'
Don't tell her to dissolve it in her morning coffee instead -bowroflarms How to use a suppository? Simple... You shove it up your ASS!!! :( and the best part is... NO, I'M NOT JOKING, LOL... Seriously, an anal suppository is taken Per Rectum, that is, it is inserted via the anus (in common vernacular, aka the "asshole") and held there for a duration of an hour or so. Normal body temperature will soften the suppository to the point that it will become pasty in consistency; as it dissolves, the released medication will be absorbed by the rectum's mucosa network of superficial blood vessels. This mechanism of absorption is similar to that of pills taken sublingual or under the tongue. Additionally, contrary to common perception, a suppository is inserted flat or blunted end first, that is, the pointy end should go in last. This seemingly reversed but proper method of insertion allows for the anal sphincter to close itself tightly around the tapered end, ensuring that the suppository stays within the rectum and does slide back down (with adults it's generally not an issue but with infants and children it may be). NOTE: Anal Suppositories should never be taken by mouth as the formulations and dosage concentrations are different; certain suppository medications can cause death if accidentally or wrongly taken by mouth. Vaginal Suppositories are inserted into the Vagina only. In general, no suppository should ever be inserted into the urethra (there are specialized urethral suppository products but usually only for professionally directed use).
true about knowing nothing part, not everyone is all that into sciences. and about the too big to swallow pills... well they may not in reality be too big to swallow (heck the pieces of food they eat is likely larger than the pill), but it's probably something psychological -mellow which further makes me think, how'd he get those birth controls? stealing his mom's?
LOL... When I start getting Alzheimer's, I'll be glad to let someone else take it ... -dead Suppositories are kinda, well... BIG. (whoa... where you putting dat, pardna...?) And stealing Mom's BCPs? Man, that is just effing evil. -what?
LOL, you do know what is suppository right? People in this forum might follow your instruction. (...or that lady that returned the drug...-blush2
Nah... I had to learn about them vis a vis their implication in Toxic Shock Syndrome back in the mid 80's. Whenever I'm in that section of the supermarket, I tend to keep my pace up and my head down... :ugh:
