Cool. What are your friends majoring in? I might know them, but then again its a pretty big campus. I didnt even know my childhood best friend attended SJSU while I was there until i saw him at the clubs and he told me that he just graduated.
There is a slim chance that I would know your friends because Im double majoring in Psychology and Advertising. Im mostly in the psychology building or the journalism building. Anyways I also have several friends that are currently attending UCLA and a couple of them just graduated. Dont know any of their majors. Ive been to UCLA when I went down south to visit different campuses during my senior year in high school. Nice campus. Please dont tell me you are a LA Lakers fan.
Psychology is becoming such a popular major these days. A close friend of mine who is attending UOP is also double majoring in psych, & I know quite a few others who are also majoring in this field. It's getting to be competitive.. I actually lived in SJ during the last few years of my high school career, and only moved to LA after graduating. Yea, the campus here is nice, but I've been to SJSU & the campus there is not bad. I miss being in the bay area. OK, don't tell me you are an Oakland Raiders fan! -rolleyes Such a stereotype how everybody thinks that everyone living in LA is a Lakers fan. I don't like them. I think they made a really dumb move when they traded Shaq to Miami. I'm rather surprised that they made it to the playoffs this year..
One reason behind the popularity of psychology as a major is that the skills learned in Psychology can be applied in basically any field. So many companies now are using psychology to understand the behavior and personality of current and potential employees. We are seeing an increase of job hires based on aptitude test that predicts who will be a better employee and to increase performance and production in the workplace. Another reason is that we are trying to build an army of Psychologist to do battle against Tom Cruise and his fellow Scientologist's. He bashes on Psychology and Sociology all the time. I hope he realizes that Psychology is based on actual research and experiments and not pseudo-science. In the end psychology will prevail against Evil....I mean scientology. Lol And yes Im a Raiders fan. Representin the muthaFuckin silver and black. I rep anything that has to do wit the bay. Oakland A's and the GS Warriors! Its all about that bay shit.
