Internet love is impossible. Love consists of many aspects including physical, emotional, and psychological. Of course, with today's technology, many of this is achievable - in a VIRTUAL context (ie. we can 'physically' see the other person, 'emotionally' connect through typing, etc.). I think anyone who falls for internet love is just simply naive; wasting their time and are setting up themselves for worse. I have a friend who said she 'loved' a guy she met online. She was so in love that she was willing to spend over $2000 just to fly over to see him. I always asked her "what is love to her" or "how was it possible to love someone that much through the internet", and she just said "it just is". And then one day - dun dun dun - she got cheated on (surprise). I mean, of course, how can a teenage guy with raging hormones stay faithful when he's technically not bound by anyone around him (except a virtual girlfriend).
hmmm... i have heard of a case... this guy met a chick in HK on icq... he flew there to just to meet her in person... n they started dating... n in the next 3 months either they guy goes to HK or the girl comes to Syd once a month to meet up... n then they end up getting married... dunno if they r still together...
