    dude you dont have to go get it from ATT, you can buy it at that retail price at an apple store.
    or better yet EBAY




    the plans in the us are $70/month starting

    wow...apple is constantly changing the way they do things...one minutes its no sell iphone w/o activation now its sell iphone w/o activaion....hmm somethin sounds fishy here...

    i believe that won't work... lol.. iphone is required to be activated in store this time unless other programs/hacking iphone programs are out so that it can just activate it without going through sales.

    just verified my suspicion about smallrini info about the iphone being sold openly at the apple store...you can't do it...gotta buy the iphone with an att activation no more just walking off with it...

    was to be expected to be at a high price rele, i think they are thinking of competing with the likes of nokia's n95 and so they make it slightly cheaper and ppl would buy it.
