No don't get the iphone. Had one and returned it. The iphone is becoming like the Motorola V3 (razr).
It may just me be but when a lot of people have the same phone as you it starts to become kinda lame, like kwong said its turning into the razr.
i jus gt the 16gb iphone and its all fine and dandy, the apps are addictive for some reason keep wanting to buy and try more, also u can play big2 on it lol only bs thing on it is the batter life, but i guess after awhile ill stop playing around with it as much and just use it for calls+music then it will be fine as for the gps the guy said the maps were crap, its great can find anything. its soo much better than my n95 on maps ( owned it sinse launch day and still havent managed to use the gps once on the n95)
The iPhone is definitely worth getting. It is the best phone that I've used. I have many phones in my collection, but I always come back to the iPhone. It has the best internet browser on the market, the email interface is pretty good, and the number of apps available is huge. However, there are rumours that with the introduction of iPhone OS 3.0 during the U.S. summer (about July), the next generation iPhone will be available. So unless you really need a new phone now, it may be better to wait until July and see if there is a new iPhone. If there is, the price for the old iPhone would most definitely drop.
If you want the best phones out there, I would say go with any of the Japanese phones out there... Sharp 904, 903, 912, 920.. Any Docomo phones and all you need to have them work is the hypersim... that's if you want a crazy phone... other than that yea i guess the iphone is good enough..
Buy it if you really thinks that the phone really useful for you in terms of the software that have on the iphone.
It is never too late to get an Iphone! You can download so many applications so it is like upgrading the phone all the time. Maybe there will be a new iphone in june with better specs... ?
i think it's still worth buying, its like a mini laptop/phone that you can put in your pocket. it's a huge time saver and very convenient. i'm not sure about other new cell phones out there, but after a year this phone still isn't getting old or boring, there's always new stuff to do with it. the only thing i don't like about it, is the battery life. when im on the phone for too long or if i watch a video, the battery drains out pretty quickly but other than that it's a pretty good phone. oh and for those of you who said you can't record videos on the iphone, you actually can. google "jailbreak iphone"
it's actually a very good gadget, you won't regret it cos you can see all kind of new surprises from the App Store, definitely a good buy
