Always let him know where the relationship is heading to.If its a friendship thingy goin on, just tell him that he is a really good friend and hopefully he gets the hint.It really not fun when you lose a friend over stupid misunderstanding. Its better to make it clear but do keep in touch with him. It would be stupid to just stop hanging out, probably he is looking for a friend too. So yeah, just make things clear.
I agree with pinkapples....it's alright to hang out with a guy, even if you don't have feelings for him...who knows...you may develop feelings for him in the near future! You could also, rather than just going alone, ask him to bring friends and you could bring friends too, and hang out in a big group
