If you're gonna go that route, get something like a nice charm bracelet, girls love that shit. You can put it inside a pair of the socks you're giving her.
Girls don't need expensive things unless they are like really high maintence types...... But i would suggest something that you made and its from the heart... Its never too ideal, at least she will know how you feel about her....
would do this if you were a male. tell her you taking her to a special dinner. drive for half hour and stop at rubbish dump. when she gets sad tell her you are taking her to dinner now and then drive her home. if she asks why you doing this, say because I can! read it somewhere. it was pretty funny.

Well I'll let you guys know what I end up getting her. I was thinking about getting her some socks from a place hours away. I got her this birthday card when I was out of town, so it's probably somewhat unique that she can't get it from here. Maybe I'll just give her a red pouch with $50 or something -__- hahaha. Or would that be bad? I want to avoid giving cash or gift cards though, seems like I didn't put any thought into it

come on you guys... obviously he is trying to impress the girl with a bday gift 1st of all bring her to a fine restaurant 2nd get her some flowers 3rd a necklace will do for the gift " simple will do" then the next day she will be calling u darling... ^_^ as for budget around 200 will do. dont for get to have a nice smooth suave talk with her coz that is the most critical moment. DONT bring her to ur other friend party or any thing spend it just the 2 of you hope it helps ^_^
