When they move to San Diego :D ahahah
J/P. They seem like they have a pretty decent squad I won't be surprised if they make it next year.

HILADELPHIA (AP) -- Allen Iverson wants to stay with the Philadelphia 76ers and it looks like the former MVP is going to get his wish.

Sixers president Billy King told The Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Daily News on Tuesday he has taken Iverson's name off the trading block and expects the All-Star to be with the team at the start of training camp.

"I've pretty much said that I expect him to be with us at the start of training camp," King told The Philadelphia Inquirer in a story posted on its Web site. "Our conversations with other teams at this point going forward do not include him."

The 76ers failed to make the playoffs last season. Almost immediately, speculation began that Iverson, who has spent his 10-year career in Philadelphia, would be dealt.

Iverson said this month that his wish was to remain with the Sixers and that the trade rumors had taken a toll on him and his family.

"I want to be a Sixer, I have said that since Day 1," Iverson said. "But if I am not wanted, then I definitely don't want to be a Sixer and I am willing to start my career all over."

Iverson is coming off one of his best seasons, averaging a career-high 33 points in 72 games.

  6. why cant he be a raptor! lol well thats good for him but if i were him i would of traded myself to a better team maybe with better players and give myself a chance to win a championship.

  7. Nevered pictured Iverson in different uniform anyways :p

if iverson came to toronto he'll steal the spotlight from bosh and then bosh would want to get traded

  9. Iverson to me doesnt seem like a selfish player he could share the spotlight with another star or even let another person have all the glory....he just wants to win...reason why he has score alot or led the league in scoring is because his team sucks.....the record shows.. if Iverson doesnt score 30 points or more ...The Philadelphia 76ers DONT WIN.

^ i still don't think i could seee iverson in toronot...toronto is like poooor...not many ppl watch the games anymore...do u go to their games? or leafs?

  11. yea its evident after vince carter left tickets sales have dropped... its easy if you win they come and watch if you dont the arena will be empty....i went a few times when carter was still here it was PACKED...i miss those times.. hopefully the new squad can draw some attention and fans back to the Arena.

as for leafs tickets... its quite impossible to get em lol..even if you get the chance they are so expensive....i have only been to one leafs game in my life and that was an exhibition game even those cost about 30$ a pop....seriously Toronto is the real hockey town.

i think toronto will get the cup b4 phily

  14. i think iverson would of been a raptor because back in 95 when the toronto raptors first started they won first pick but couldnt keep iverson because of some rule due to them being a new team they had to pick someone else or trade him.

he can't share the spot light that was the whole larry brown deal. He is a selfish player. Jerry Stackhouse and Larry Hughs were two players philly in philly taking a lil of his fame....then got traded cause they had to choose..Stackhouse or AI......Hughs or AI...obvious answer...AI is a hall of famer

Stephon Marbury salary cap cost as much as Allen Iverson and new york would accept the trade but philidelphia would not accept a ball-hogger...even if they would give these two guys for iverson philidelphia would also need to clear up some cap space before getting these two guys cuz webber and dalembert salary cap cost a lot

Iverson is a good player, but I think it is time to trade him.

    bloat for free contracts

they would have 2 package webber with any
    trade..
w/o AI what 2 do with C Webs 60mill noose.
that is how the knicks or knocker block heads
ended up stevie 'franchise' n 'world no1' starbury.
    NY ate 2 large contracts.
only way they dump AI is for expiring contracts
    for free agent runs.
AI is 30+? and gimpy knees.

I think it's good for both parties if a trade goes through. Iverson is never going to win a NBA championship with philly and philly's going nowhere fast. Why not build for the future and give AI a chance for a ring?
