fatso did it again... at the end of episode 24, terrific OVERacting by screaming again at the end of a sentence. fack, i really hate him.
tbh, Kent Cheng's raising his voice towards the end of the series isn't so bad now, cuz now it fits his "evil" side. But before when he was a spy, it was really annoying
end episode discussion anyone? *spoilers* i thought the ending was quite satisfying. no rushing, no dragging. besides fatso for his obvious overacting and underacting sometimes, the episodes were pretty good.
I seriously cant take this drama anymore and im glad it ended....I love the casts in this, but this drama is just........yawn*****
I totally agree with this, satisfying. People deserved what they got. It is a shame that the 3rd (youngest) prince died and didn't carry the King's position, would have been better if the other prince (the one who got banned) took up the place/throne instead. It was a shame though that Ngo Kar Nin (the king at the end) turned a bit evil and wanted to kill Wayne, glad that Wayne saw his plan. They should have shown the son of Ngo Kar Nin and Natalie Tong, not necessary but thought it would have been good. This drama title fits this drama perfectly, it is about making the King, but Kent's "10 method of building a [dog] King" was a laugh (though he only managed to get up to 6) it sounds true/applicable to this drama. Been a while that TVB have made a drama that doesn't feel rushed/dragged.
the series was quite good. i liked it very much at the beginning but the ending was a bit annoying...i didn't like kent's raising voice. it was just too much and exaggerated; cuz it seems like he didn't know how else to act his anger and just chose to be louder. whereas Wayne acted very good in every aspect, as always
agreed on the 3rd prince and 2nd prince, but i guess they didn't do that because they didn't want to alter the true historic events too much. also agree on the fact that the crown prince turned evil and wanted to assassinate wayne lai, only to have the sentry/guard come over to say he just killed all those "evil guys" employed by the crown prince xD
Oh so I am guessing in the history the King (portrayed by Ngo Kar Nin) wasn't carrying the true royal bloodline? Yeah that bit was so cool, the other cool scene was by that guard/leader came into the assembly hall and said his thing + "wu gar"
Episode 25 started to get boring, the queen said "he is your son". what in the mind of the director will write a script with that. Which will lead to her son being kicked out.
actually i don't know whether the show is historic correct or not. here's some info about the king (who got ill and died eventually): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emperor_Ningzong_of_Song his successor is emperor "lizong", can't find the name zhao guicheng anywhere.
