Lakers can't trade Kobe because they will not get the same value of players. They will be trading away a hall of fame player for bunch of scrubs i.e. the shaq trade to miami.

Yeah, Kobe won't be traded for all the reasons mentioned above. I just hope the Lakers can just keep improving regardless of their roster. It'll be nice for them to go deeper into the playoffs. Kobe performed pretty well in the FIBA Americas tournament, but dang, LeBron is the MAN!
kobe isnt going to get traded..hes one of the best.but he probably wont try as hard this season since theres not a person that can help him win

He will not be traded for the time being. He has the league's only 'No Trade Clause' in his contract. Originally, the Lakers had an agreement with Chicago that would have been Ben Gordon, Luol Deng, ReSigned PJ Brown, and Tyus Thomas. Both sides agreed but Kobe vetoed the trade because he said that if Chicago trades away Deng, he won't allow the trade. The Lakers won't agree to do a trade unless it has Deng. So you see, it is a Catch-22. Kobe won't go if Deng is included in trade and Lakers won't trade unless Deng is included in the deal. I just don't see it happening... There was also the rumor last week that had Kobe going to Detroit for Rip Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince, Amir Johnson and a 1st round pick. IT is rumored that Kobe vetoed that trade because he did not want to live in Detroit... I just don't see it happening this year...
