On what merit are you going to sue them for? Most likely you can't sue them for damage because the film's already released on DVD and whatnot... Did I mention I saw In the mood for love finally? And oh, I thought it was great, alright, but then it was more like a brilliantly beautiful show of Maggie Cheung's cheongsam/qipao than a proper film Though both Tony Leung and Maggie Cheung were awesome, it wasn't Wong Kar-Wai's best work in terms of its techniques (or theme) And I missed My Blueberry Night in Hong Kong >.< Hopefully it will be released here, or was it already released and gone? SIGH
Amen... And it shall remain the bane of all film-lovers's collective existence. After seeing Smith's work in I am Legend (actually as an ACTOR, not a comedian or action hero), I am very drawn to see this tear-jerker...
I am extremely behind in my film-ventures... There are still films from TIFF which I haven't seen... And they will soon be gone >.< And stupid library doesn't do "holds" and "reserves" anymore on new DVDs... UGH If only I have 48 hours a day.
I thought in the mood for love was boring compared to his other films, but the acting was superb. other than that can't really remember the plot in full but apparently this love broke his heart and it lasted throughout 2046 which is not too convincing to me, or am i forgetting some key points hehe. and yea since pursuit of happyness i think will smith has stepped his game up and took a change from action/comedic actor to a emotional actor and i gotta say he succeeds in creating a convincing dramatic character.
ITMfL was kind of boring, I must admit... Then again, I was obsessed with the music LONG before I see the film, so I was kind of distracted. Now I just need to see 2046, EROS and My Blueberry Night You are definitely right about Smith's "transformation", now, even in an obviously action-drive film like "I am legend", he got some acting to do (besides doing all kinds of action sequences...) I kind of hope to see him in a pure thriller/drama with little to no action and see how he fare.
omg so you haven't seen 2046 yet....but i watched the movies backwards lol, 2046 then In the Mood for love, but i was expecting more from In the mood for love after watching 2046 soo i got disappointed. And still have to watch blueberry nights, but it's the debut of a singer turned actress so dunno how that would fare. and eros isn't that a short film or part of several films by different directors? anyways will smith have done that drama w/o action thing: "The Pursuit of Happyness" but yea haven't done the thriller w/o action i guess but there are few thrillers w/o action anyways.
Norah Jones? I heard really good reviews for her acting (and some mixed ones for Rachel Weisz)... I wanted to see EROS partly because I like all 3 directors (Michelangelo Antonioni, Steven Soderbergh of Traffic and Erin Brockovich fame) working on that project, and no, they are not exactly SHORT films, they are just segments
^but gotta see it to see if she can be lead lol, still gonna dl when it comes hehe....anyways so steven soderbergh is one of the directors eh, thats pretty cool.
I was kind of thinking about that about Jessica Alba, coz everyone knows that she's playing in The Eye, a horror/thriller/drama. From what I've seen, I don't think she can do much acting, comedy is one thing (though I don't even think she's THAT good at it), but a full-fledged drama without supporting characters is quite another. Anyways, enough with my Jessica Alba bashing now. Just saw Bon Cop Bad Cop for the upmillionth time, still funny with all the stereotypes and biligual jokes
saw juno, pretty "heart warming" entertaining movie. the father and son from arrested development here too so it was cool. anyways the acting was good and the father was mr j. jonah jameson freaking funny everytime he speaks lol.
just watched juno...LOVED IT! (sigh)...the trials and tribulations of growing up and figuring out how to go about growing up as normal as everyone else, and then the realization that others are just as confused and lost as u.... loved the main character in this...the quick dialogue was hilarious. not a huge blockbuster, but better then anything i've seen so far this year (yes, i know the year just started) love movies like this...so simple, but speaks higher volumes then all the other commercialized crap.
I didn't even spend 10 bucks to see the first one... Though I must confess I was VERY tempted to back then... So no, since I haven't seen the first one... I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to see it >.<
what's so funny? i actually want to see that. i liked the first one. aliens and weird looking giant fighting is awesome.
I watched saw 4 last nite.... dang....that shit aint even scary anymore its just plain disgusting... saw 3 was bad... but 4 is even worse... so i assume....saw 5 should be in the making already to bring us more *puke* moments? please dont!!! NO MORE!!?? first A vs. P was crap too i reckon....
