learn japanese isn't hard, b'cuz my ex-girlfriend was teaching me but when she was teaching to write it that is the problem
^ I agree, I suck at speaking and listening to french but I can read it. Japanese looks fun to learn but it's probably hard. Actually any language is hard. What asian language do you guys think would be generally easiest to learn because I'm gonna start learning one in the future.
i'm currently taking japanese and it's pretty easy to memorize words and writing in hiragana, katakana, and kanji the only thing i have trouble with is the sentence patterns >.<
it's simple...just keep using it and you will get it.....but when it comes to kanji it's harder cuz you have to remember how to write and read it
Hopefully a classmate will teach me for free or cheap =] got to ask that person, the person is actually a language teacher as well ^^
Back in high school I learned how to read and write in hiragana. In my second year, I was taught to read and write katakana, but that wasn't well because of the class. However I still want to re-learn katakana, but now that I am in college, I really don't have the time to ~_~
I speak some japanese... due to me taking a class in high school. And watching anime and reading manga. My speech is not fluent but not exactly foreign either. Just need more vocabulary. My writing.....I know basic hiraganas but no katakana at all. While I write chinese so Kanjis are pretty essay.
I am also in the process of learning and it seem to get tougher now. I wish I can understand Jap and able to watch anime without sub if possible. -noclue
ehh??? Japanese isnt difficult to speak as it is to write. I think when learning how to communicate daily is easier then when learning to write and speak formally. I have the upper hand as i am Japanese, but if anyone has any questions or are stuck on any homeworks....let me know ps: can people on this thread stop saying "JAP" its offensive and racist. you dont see anyone else using other derogetory terms for other ethnicities. -censored
Read mangas in their original glory! That's what I did when I was in Japanese mood full-force! Seriously, it helps, and watching anime and listening to songs, specially if you are inclined to try singalongs. I speak a few lines of German just because I memorized almost every line of dialogue in "Lola Rennt"~ Did the same thing with Japanese, back in the time of EVA and Long Vacation
wow really didnt know about calling people jap was offensive i'l bear that in mind next time, but its really cool that you're japanese and willing to help people with their homework shame im not studying japanese no more i only did it for a year
