longan is my fav FRESH fruit (over lychee) bbt only has lychee no longan (but lychee is a GREAT flavour) dried longan is often snacked on or put into chinese soups (sweet and savour ones) I've seen lychee cooked with seafood, kinda like instead of using pineapple, used lychee. either way, both fruits are VERY versatile and yummy if they are in a good state
i prefer logan because of the sweet crisp taste, lychee is also one of my favs because its juicy and sweet but sometimes have this sour taste near the core. Logan is still my favorite out of the 2!
well i for one say longan is better, but after about a 1.5lbs at a time i regret it in the morning... My dads fine eating that much though weird. We eat about 4-10 boxes a year each 20lbs-25lbs. Me and my dads favorite fruit its so good tasting ^.^
I love them both!!! longon is light sweet while lychee is a bit heavy on the sweet side. But its so hard to find those flowery taste lychees now T_T maybe its because i'm in NSW. T_T so sad~~ and yes i agree! I hope they are always in season!!!!!
