just was thinking......rice is an very important meal to asian people. image if you were allergic to rice, then that would be sad....unless you don't like rice.
If you were allergic, you will never have enough rice to start liking it to begin with. So it's not a problem.
hmm.. sounds as though losing weight is all abt the carbs.. For me, prefer do more workouts.. pick up some regular sport.. and weight wun be a problem to begin with.
heh its ur opinion if u think it's stupid, but it's still a scientific fact... if eating rice is what makes u asian then i feel sorry for you really -mellow u don't have to avoid meat if u want to eat rice... meats like Chicken and Fish are great... especially Fish for the Omega oils... I prefer Salmon, but Tuna is better for weight loss...
how come HK are soo thin?!?!?! When they eat white rice every single day...this goes to other asian countries too (Japan, Korea, and etc)...
^ You know you can edit your post instead of double posting right?? Anyways, the thing is that many HK or Japanese or Korean girls go on diet and stop eating rice... so even though HK/Japan/Korea as a culture consume rice as their main source of carbs, it doesn't mean those skinny girls are eating them =_=b
there are other factors besides just rice... lifestyles come into play, like how in Asian countries people walk everywhere, in the US people drive everywhere... people in the US are always on the run so grabbing a McDonalds breakfast is so much easier, cheaper, less time consuming than having a REAL breakfast... red meat is a lot more abundant here in the US, which is not a real good choice for weight watching... in Asian countries we eat more fish, chicken and pork... i mean comon, which is going to be healthier? A take out box of Char Siu Fan from HK or a take out box of Panda Express in the US?
