ahhhh! Rambutan! they are so good. i wish i had some fresh ones right now, but my mummy can only get canned ones. =(
I think I will have to say longan. It's less troublesome and messy when I want to eat 'em. Second, would be lychee because of the juice.
I remember when I when on vacation to China. There I had eat for the first time very good and big lychees. Here in Belgium they also had lychees but it not that sweet as in China. The longan that they have here is almost ok for my tasted but of course I like the longan of China the most. They don't know the rambotan here in Belgium so well. We only use it in our restaurant before for our dessert.
you must have eaten the unripe version of rambutan which is green in color instead of the usual red/dark red. the sweetness depends on the tree and area it is planted. i love the short hair version rambutan which is dark red color. its flesh is sweet and easy to peel.
i prefer eating longans. i prefer lychees in drink form. have never tasted a rambutan, though i've seen them sold in chinatown here.
