believe me....i know plenty of viets that hated the smell........ comin from a girl................you're brave-worship
wut kinda asian are you........?????????LOL........... so what kind of traditional viet food do you fancy? I am talking about the real real traditional ones........
what kind of asian am i? LOL im a banana. altho i eat rice at home, i usually eat european dishes (not burgers and fries or hot dogs and stuff, thats american), like a french dish called beuf-bourguignon and coq-au-vin, and things like that i tell you, im not your typical asian guy. im a french man in an asian body. hehehehe but if you must know, i like pho dac biet, com suong nuong, bun bo hue, hu tieu nam vang, hu tieu bo kho, goi cuon, bun thang, banh mi thit, che dau, che ba mau, che... dau hu and stuff like that lol i still have a bit of asian in me =)
is this the stinky stuff u use for bo nhung dam? or the one with the bun rieu oc? whichever one it is.... i like the stinky-ness. It tastes a lot better than it smells.
actually it's written "ma('m" , not "ma^'m" . Bun mam' is really good ^^ It's good to know that u like it ^^ and to hot_technochick , ma('n ne^m is what u eat with bo nhung dam^' . without it, bo nhung dam is not good anymore
ty for the correction...my bad.... you got that right about the bo nhung dam...there are absolutely no replacements for that.......
I believe they use shrimp paste for bun rieu oc.........whatever it is.......the stinkier the better right?
"Ma'm Ne^m", ma'm Ruo^c", "Ma'm To^m" are all made from shrimps..big shrimps, small shrimps..dead or alive. lol "Ma'm Ne^m" is originated from VN's midland,i.e Hue...and exellent 4 "bo nhung da'm", "be thui" and other dishes. "Ma'm To^m" is originated from VN's Northern Regions,..great 4 "Bu'n Rieu". "ma'm Ruo'c" is originated from VN's Southern Regions, i.e The Delta, Mien tay. great 4 co'c, xoai, o?i..as dipping sauce...lol One more, "ma'm bo` ho'c" widely available in the Southern Region i.e. Rach Gia,Chau Doc,Ha Tien as it originated from Combodia and made from dead fishes.. For me, they all smell rotten...but I love them all. LOL
