It's not that hard to get a gun in China but if you are caught with one, you're in deep shit. And I think this guy have one of those older rifle guns.

lol if it happened to you, you would kill it lol. If i see a loose tiger in the wild coming towards me i'll shoot it if i had a gun. Theres a high chance that it's gunning for the kill. But from traditions and how i was raised, i wouldn't eat it. Just telling the truth. Dont know if the man was really lying or telling the truth in this story but it really sucks to be jailed for 12 years for doing something like that. Its like someone asks you why you were jailed for 12 years. You respond well i killed a tiger. Can't imagine that. BTW i'm not much of an animal person so i think others well definitely have a different response.
So I understand shooting the Tiger out of self-defense, I'd do the same. ... But to eat the Tiger to cover up the kill?!?! I assume he realized he killed the endangered Tiger after, and ate it. Stupid thing to do though.
I don't believe the guy a bit. Why did he need to eat it afterward? Shouldn't he just report the incident?
Killing the tiger in self defense is rightful. Maybe he thought why waste the meat when it is available.
