    San Francisco Chinatown Represent! Only Cantonese holla! i know maybe 3 words in mandarin and like 60% efficient in canton, drop out of Chinese school.

    I speak a little Mandarin. Not really enough to have an actual conversation with, though.

    i am cantonese....not surprising that there are more percentage in canto than mando..as i said before...just becuz mando is the main language of chinese doesnt means is the most popular...mando only popular in asia...but cantonese is popular in the world

    i'm cantonese too!!! i can speak, read and write it - i guess those forced years of going to chinese school did finally pay off - haha

    héhé same as shirotori.

    I can speak cantonese ( esspecially cursing ) but can't read any symbol except those from mahjong...lol ( i'm not a gambler do not mistaken, i rarely gamble )

    I am mandarin but I work in an office with many cantonese. I swear they are always talking about me but I can't understand anything!

    I'm Cantonese, but I can speak Mandarin (though with a small accent). I can read and write in formal Chinese, and I'm picking up how to use Cantonese slang words online >.<

    I'm Fuzhou (Dad's side) and Kejia/Hakka (Mom's side). So I chose other. I can speak simple conversational Mandarin. Not so much Cantonese. I can speak Dim-sum Cantonese.

    Made 2nd grade long long time ago. -unsure
    Understand a few words in mandarin.-huh?

    I'm cantonese originally born in HK, but damn.. I came to the US hella young.. so my cantonese has gotten weaker. But I still watch Hk dramas and speak cantonese to friends... improve myself everyday.. as for mandarin.. of course i would love to learn that... in progress =] than jap, korean ^_^

    more mandarin but i can still get away with speaking in cantonese enough for the folks in hongkong to understand me

    i'm canto tooo =D
    but i can't really read or write..
    and i take mando chinese school..
    but that doesn't really do anything <_>
