Mandarin-Catonese Which one are you?

i'm Cantonese too. i can speak it fluently, too bad i can't read and write.

I can speak cantonese fluently. I 've started to learn writing and reading from a mandarin teacher, so i can speak a little bit mandarin as well.

 

Im also cantonese, speak it and able to read a little but cant write chinese

 

Lol i speak cantonese to my mother, english to my father, hakka to my sister and mandrin to my cousin

but it seems alot of people here can't read or write, including me, so im guessing most of us here aint from mainland china at all..

you can't be mandarin or cantonese. it's called being chinese and merely speaking a language. so with that being said, i can speak canto but want to learn mandarin.

 

I am cantonese too. I can read Chinese but not the simplfied version. :(.

 

I'm Toishan, which is Canto anyway. I actually think both dialects have their good points. Mando sounds pretty cool and Canto is good for jokes.
