i agree.. and he is not asking for big sums.. 13cents.. come on.. the pt is there are many ppl in china that probably has difficulty understanding english, and it is indeed only reasonable for all information to be presented in local language. guess he is jus trying to bring across a pt..

What the.. He didn't sue for that much money and it's just a damn receipt in English, that's just a waste of time just going into the court for that.

How about the people who are illiterate, they can sue the world out of the world's pants for not knowing how to read (since it is going to violate their "right to know" regardless of what language the receipt is printed)?

to me the best way is to just to put both languages on the menu. after all it is hard to directly translate chinese to eng

i know most ppl dont read the reciept but it's a lack of respect i guess.. it's only fair to present information in the local language, no? imo i don't think he is wasting time cause a receipt isn't very important, but there are other docs that may be withheld if they can get away with this.

that's wonderful to see that somebody is taking action and going based on principal rather than going for money. Over the last few decades there have been many cases of these East-West clash cases, and a good majority of them have had a jerk sue for big money. I'm glad that in this case, it was more symbolic, than some d-bag sueing for big bucks while making us look bad as a people.
