Migraines.

    i guess the best thing uc ould do is just try to live a so called "healthy" lifestyle

    eating regularly with all the needed recommended dietary intakes
    exercise, sleep regularly, etc

    but as always, easier said than done ><
    make sure u just get enuff rest la


    i suppose he's implying ur old (older htan him atleast)? =P

    lmao I dont know..I most likely am older than alot of people here.. Nothing to be ashamed of... lol. Yes, speaking of sleep, I should be doing that now, it 1:48am... lol Goodnight!:p Thank you by the way.:)

    well for us "older" ppl, haf been told that we should aim for 8 hours sleep a day

    assuming we get up by 7, this mean U need to sleep by 11pm
    but i really wonder wat the chances are for that lol

    in the mean time, just make sure u get atleast 6 hrs and EAT regularly
    =)

    i guess avoid staring at the computer screen also helps, but that means less time on here =P hehehe

    lol, I can go to bed early if I try... so... you're like me, huh? In the geriatrics
    league?? lmao jk Omg I have to stop talking like that! I'm not that old lol really!... At times I feel like it though..-down

    well im no longer in the teens either ><
    but its always fun to act as one =D

    well being relatively "older" atleast means ur more "mature" and know wat ur doing la =)

    trying to go to bed early doesn't make much difference
    its the amount of "sleep" you actually get
    closing eyes in bed doesn't count as sleep! hehehe

    i have pretty strong migraines too, so usually water and some sleep should do the trick, but i think it varies for each person. my doctor prescibed some medication that makes me dizzy and sleepy so i wouldn't recommend it. so when my head is pounding i just chug a bottle of water and go to sleep. hopefully, you'll find something that will work for you soon. good luck!

    Some ppl get migraines b/c the "blood" gets clog up in the brain area. This is because the blood is not travelling through properly. The medication that the doctor prescribe may be a blood thinner.

    When the blood is thinner, it can travel easier though the viens. If ur face turn red after the meds it means it is working and blood is moving. Many ppl that are obese (not implying anything) have this problem which leads to stroke and heart attacks!!!

    the whole drinking water thing

    because my body is SOOO use to being dehydated
    many times when i've gone DRINKING, i didn't experiance the hang over feel like everyone else at the same party
    because my body is so use to being dehydrated

    but at the same time, i've had hung overs from just not drinking any liquids for a whole day


    hang overs are much caused by the dehydration

    so for those who dont have migranes
    think of the head trobbing portion of a hang over, and you that is what a migrane can feel like in an extreme case

    I dont think I act like a teenager, lol I act like me, which is a mixture of many things lol :p.. to me going to bed=sleeping, I dont go to bed just to stare at the ceiling... or laying awake but closing my eyes lol

    Hopefully its just me, I do drink water, but my mother always scolds me about not drinking enough.. I will drink more..You're not still taking that medication are you..?

    lol you better not be.. <_< Yea, when you dont drink enough water, the blood gets very thick and it puts stress on the veins, weakening them,(which can lead to stroke) and for one makes the heart work harder than it should to pump the blood through the body, and heightens the risk of clogging (which can lead to a heart attack and stroke)

    I'm going to drink soooo much water, (not to an excess, because that is bad too) and I will keep a journal of the amount of water I drink daily, and the occurance of my migraines to trace the progress of this. Hopefully it will get better! Thank you everyone!!!:D :D

    Soo, you get a hang over from not drinking water or rather from being dehydrated...?? Never heard of that before in my life! I will have to ask my mum.

    well just make sure u drink enuff, not excessively =P
    cos i've heard excessive water u flush out quite a lot of electrolytes and nutrients

    but i've never got to that point
    i usually just drink not enuff ><
    i try to aim for 1L or so a day
    usually never make it lol
    too lazy to walk to the water filter area

    plus more water makes skin cleaner =)
    cleaner = prettier too! =P

    Yes, I think anything in an excess is bad for you, even water. lol me too! for awhile I had goals when it came to drinking water, about 32oz a day, but that didnt work out... prettier skin?? Are you trying to coax me into drinking more water? Trust me, Im pretty enough...lol jk

    Aww, thank you! I do that already.. All except the cold compress on the forehead, that I do not agree with lol heat is good for me when I have a migraine.. the cold makes my pain even more excrutiating...sorry, but thank you for the suggestions!:D

    Most likely it is me not drinking enough water, as stated earlier....Or at least I hope it is and not something wayy more serious.

    Yes, I dont take Tylenol, Advil or Aspirin (aspirin is the worst) because they end up making me feel worse, instead of feeling better... =) Thank you anyway Mikeo2, but I dont want any medications, as they claim to treat or prevent 1 illness, yet gives the person 3 more due to side effects..
