It was actually my birthday on mother's day so.. I just ignored my birthday and bought my mom some 40$ flowers.. Lol.. I am cheap..
yum cha for sure, well actually not this year, because we knew there would be lines of people, but we still went out for a chinese brunch at a seafood buffet
I dont think there's a specific way... just make ur mom happy! that's the best way to celebrate I guess.
i found an excuse not to get my mom anything.... the chinese radio said that Mother's day is a catholic holiday and i told my mom i didn't have to get her anything cuz she's buddhist LOL
hmm i once bought a gift for my mom and she told me it was a waste of money too.. i guess just treating out to eat is good enough
Chinese will have to treat for dinner, that's the main gift. If you're rich, go with the gold. You know they love gold.
LOL... You realize that this thread was talking about Mother's Day, like... TWO YEARS AGO? Just an FYI; you may not know it but I would call your attention to the existence of this other thread: LINK
Restaurants are usually very busy on mother's day, so i take her out for dinner on the day before mother's day instead.
