Hike-That will never happen. Some of the bigger ISP's may send you a warning letter, but there are smaller ISP's out there that will offer you the same speeds and could care less what you do on their network, and they don't answer to anyone.
Well, the net will not be dead but overloaded with p0rn and spams... I guess only then will they start solving the p0rn problem online... Money-driven corrupted bureaucrats... They sound so "oh we are for the good of society" while all they really care about is their own back yard @_@b Hypocrites @Ironman: Well, but they don't have THAT many small ISPs around @_@b So it's still a valid worrisome prospect.
Look at what recently happened on Dig with the Hex key. There was a cease and desist letter sent to Kevin Rose. The article was pulled. That was a mistake. Users revolted. The key was plastered on every blog and the entire digg front page.
You'd be surprised how many are available. We pay a fee to the so called "Big ISP"s" and we expect privacy in return. I mean occasionally we get a slap on our wrists, but they cannot give out our information. Well, that is to say things are a bit different now in the US. This also brings me to the fact that the US wanted to actually control the Net. I mean, just because the major servers are located there, that doesn't give them the right to think that they can police the net, something that will never happen.
In time they won't be able to track anyone. They keep coming out with ways to tag us and ppl out there keep coming up with work arounds.
Wow, Ironman really is working the tech crunch Maybe Ironman is THE MATRIX BACKBONE?! -shock But it is very true that every time the authority think they've got it all worked out, new tech will just spring like wild fire just a step ahead... Which is a relief actually.
There will always be the underground. I know some coders, i tell you, its amazing how soon they can put patches etc out there to fxi these so called blocks/monitor tools.
Sorry, when i ever i post in a thread, nothing is revealed about me. The Iron man identity must be protected.
@Mav: I think he just cryptically answered you in an affirmative manner, if only we know how to decipher the message -devil
Oh crap, good point, my bad. Ironman, ironwoman, whichever gender you are, that mistake was not intended. >.<
