Computer is definitely good, location is ....

    I guess so.....

That would probably be a very expensive one....

Yes, the connection is shared between people in the family, a password is set on the router, BT only slows down if there is a lack of seeds.

    Cable is expensive.

Damn those other people lagging the service for me...

Relocate to somewhere with faster speeds

O2 have some sort of fair policy usage, so even if you get 16mb speeds. Once you use a certain limit they cap it.

    lol....thief!!! gimme back my bandwidth

    It is passworded

speed depends on how many people are using the bandwidth. generally speaking dsl speeds fluctuate whereas cable speeds are stable. also having said that a lot of companies now introduce fair usage policies which slow down ur connection during the night but usually it's just slower at night due to more traffic and people using it. unless u pay for a more expensive service u can't rele argue so much with the speed. besides internet is now so much faster than what it used to be.

look at my signature, that my normal day speed, just 1 year ago that was 12MB+ easy even at night now at night im lucky if i get 1MB or even 100kb. All the companies out there are over selling what they're equipment can handle.

My BT download or browsing speed is good at this time of the night. America is just starting to wake up and the east is winding down. Poss, I live near an exchange and the speed tends to degrade further one lives fr the exchange.

ask your isp to check the SNR quality of your line
