Devin Harris, Vince Carter, LBJ, Yi/Krstic/Boone/Diop... that's a pretty sick team in 2yrs time...

I can't believe who the knicks took. They could've taken brook lopez and tried to offer a 2 or 3 for 1 deal with MIN for Mayo which the wolves would've considered since they traded Mayo for a big and a sg.

  4. Raptors Sign Free Agent Hassan Adams
2006-07 season, averaging 2.9 points, 1.3 rebounds and 8.1 minutes.

don't know much about him...looked like a bench warmer on the nets... definitely will be a bencher for us too.

I think Brook Lopez is going to be a serious big bust in the NBA

Diop signed with the Mavericks for their MLE

Krstic has part ways with the Nets

Plus LBJ is not a lock with the Nets

Do you know how crazy the FA class of 2010 is going to be. Pretty much every big superstar on each team is going to be a UFA or RFA

Denver was trying to cut payroll and resign JR Smith. Noone's going to take Iverson/Kenyon martin/Nene and their large contracts. So they gave Camby away to the Clippers. I'm still trying to figure out why they did that.

iverson's 20mil, is coming off their books next year... so they can start to rebuild around a core of their young players... they know they can't win in the west at the rate of how things are moving... so they're trying to get in on the possible players opting out... looking at the situation so far... besides obviously LBJ, i'd be surprised if Dirk, Redd, Stoudamire and Bosh didn't opt out... so there are plenty of names... essentially Denver is gambling on picking up one of them + more picks for 2010... they can be a monster that year, if Iverson resigns for a smaller contract... Iverson at point, JR Smith and Carmelo with 2 more years exp... then add someone like Bosh/Dirk/Stoudamire... AND they still have draft picks to drop on some good big men coming out of college...

  13. if we don't start winning Bosh will leave in 2010 :( next 2 years is important for us ..we have to win.

mehhhh, Dirk, Redd, Stoudamire and Bosh? why would they opt out, and how would the nuggets afford them with carmelo/ai/kenyon on the contract? by the time they expire and get out, the team won't be as attractive as these superstars, who are the face of their franchise. the only reasons why one player would leave their position as the face of their franchise is)

    1. the other team offers like 10million+ or more then what the other team has already offered.
    2. the team blows ass and itsn't doing anything to do improve (surrounding the superstar with young talent/better coaching staff ie: kobe wouilda left if they didnt get bynum to improve/pau didnt come over)
and 3. to a team that has already proven to be contender for a championship. (kg --> celtics only when ray went)

unless 2/3 of those requirements are filled, i don't think any player would leave their franchise. (BD for example, left warriors for clippers because clippers offered more money, and they had a young roster w/ brand/kaman, too bad brand hightailed for reason #1 and #2)

AI's contract is up after this year... that $20mil off the books... with $20mil the Denver could sign anyone to a max... and i forgot which, but i think it was Kenyon who will be on his last year 2010... last year contracts are good value for a team trying to trim down the following year, so value will also be there as well...

Brand and Davis actually have been odd occurences... Clippers DIDN'T offer Davis more money... if Davis didn't opt out, he'd have more money out of GS... GS also offered Brand about 10million more to go to GS, hell even the Clippers offered Brand a little more money than Philly... and normally, players give their teams contract discounts and resign, like Arenas...

Dirk, Amare, Bosh and Redd will all probably opt out cuz their current respective teams aren't going to be contenders by 2010... Mavs are going to be old, aside from Howard, Bass, Diop and Gerald Green... would u wanna play with that core? Same deal for Amare in Phoenix, Barbosa and Diaw are left... I doubt Nash can still run in 2010... Redd and the Bucks... 'nuff said... Bosh and the Raptors, unless Jamario Moon and Bargnani step it up, even with O'Neal, they're not gonna step up to Boston anytime soon...

this might change, 2009's got some hot free agents if they opt out... but I realistically believe only the Mavericks might use this well because Kidd comes off their books next year...

its not always about moeny but it is, davis took more years for less money, can he last that long with that body

i say redd is most lightly to get to denver cause of the sg situation match and bucks and redd not connecting as they did.

they might opt out to get 2 big contracts but dont have to, its how they will see it, after this year and next their be 25-26 and in 1 year lots can happen, they can opt and get a 3-4 so they can get 2 big contracts yr or max 6 years till they 32 which would be 1 big contract.

bosh will probably stay in tor, they have a good team goin, caldron looks good at pg more the ford

  18. I myself is a hardcore Bulls fan, and this is mainly due to Ben Gordon, but lately it's been a dissappointment watching them. I wish that they had the same rosters a couple years ago, with eddie curry and tyson chandler playing post together.

^Bulls are on their way up again hopefullly... by taking Derrick Rose they're finally doing something I woulda done a long time ago... remove Heinrich as the centerpiece... seriously, they've been building around Heinrich since the Brand trade... for what? he's not an impact player... he's just a consistent stats guy...
