I don't think is fair to compare those two now as Kobe is past his prime and Lebron is reaching his (look at the age difference). Lets see if Lebron is going to be as good when he is Kobe's age
lebron is more like kobe in the past, one-man's team, but now kobe is more of a sharing type, not as ball-hogg; but u see lebron didn't bring the team into the finals, he suck in a way imo;
thats cuz kobe now has gasol and bynum. If they dont play as well on a regular basis, then you will see kobe being a one man team again as far as i see Lebron's game, he tries to share the ball, but he does get a little carried away sometimes so he goes one man team as well. Overall i like lebron more just cuz i like the SF position =D
How is LeBron more like Kobe in his past? LeBron will pass the ball when needed, Kobe will pass when he's getting triple teams, because he'll still chuck that ball when he's guarded by two men. And LeBron didn't bring his team to the final because his supporting cast choke and his coach is a dumbass for not adjusting during the games. Is it LeBron's fault that he found the open man and his teammates can't knock in the open jump shot? Is it his fault that his team can't guard their own men, and the coach fail to adjust after the Magic was raining threes like they're nothing? What more can he do by shooting at 50%, averaging 38.5pts, 8.3reb, and 8ast and getting about 4 minutes a game of rest (play 44min+ a game)? Help his teammates knock open jump shots? LMAO. They're not going to win if their 2nd scoring option (Mo) is shooting 37% with no one capable of guarding Howard, Turkoglu, and Lewis except LeBron for the latter two. And what did Kobe's team did before David Stern gifte Gasol to the Lakers and after he ran Shaq off the team? Nothing. Kobe will still not have a ring if it wasn't for Shaq. And to all the people saying how Shaq will need help, any good 2nd option will be enough for him since he always dominated during the Lakers run in playoff in his prime, unlike Kobe's choking with his 41% FG in the Final.
lebron is better if you look at his numbers of assists, points and rebounds. krobe is more like lucky guy. laker teams have more talent players surround him, without those players, krobe is nothing meaning that no trophy at all for krobe.
Krobe? Really? Anyways, James is 24 and Bryant is 30. Both have totally different body types, and are playing different positions. James is, according to himself, 6'9" 260. Being bigger doesn't make you more gifted but it can make you more effective. But like I said, different players at different positions makes it hard to compare. If you just want to compare overall effect on game then there is also no way to compare until all is said and done. Lebron's been able to change and adapt (observe his quickly evolving D) and deserves a full career before being compared to a guy who's been in the league for 12+ years.
Kobe. Kobe.Kobe. Come on now, I'm getting sick and tired of the whole Lebron is the king crap. I'd take Kobe over LeBron, anyday. With that said, I'm not denying LeBron's talents, because he's got plenty, but if you compare him to Kobe Bryant, that's just a whole new level of basketball we're talking about. And no, don't give me no 'kobe has more experience' crap. Kobe Bryant is a better baller than Lebron, enough said. I actually even think Dwyane Wade is a better player than LeBron, but let's not drag Mr.Wade into this debate;] ---WOOOOT! LAKERS ARE THE CHAMPION!!!;] But I'll be missing Ariza='( -And those who've stated how 'arrogant' kobe is, same can be said about LeBron.
Kobe has done a lot more than LBJ. There isn't an competition here. LBJ needs to show why he is 'king'. Obviously LBJ is physically more gifted, however his skill levels and finesse do not match KOBE. Kobe's challenge is his body, and whether or not he can adapt the way MJ did.
i know this is an old post, but less flashy ferreal? is this a serious answer? kobe +1, lbj's turn in a few years it kinda is his fault. if he wants to win he has to own the game. you can't blame it on his teammates, if his teammate has to open shot but is more likely to miss it then with lebron making a power move to the hoop, i believe the latter is going to matter more in a playoff situation. win or go home, can't bring that i don't have a supporting cast bs to the playoffs, you shouldn't be there then. hes gotta own his game and will that championship to him. same with mj, without pippen, rodman, kukoc, kerr, esp. pippen, (esp. pippen) he would have had a much more difficult time. those guys gave him oppurtunities, spaced the floor gave him room to work. lbj has a good cast right now, but i personally think shaq is gonna clog that lane up for him just like he did for amare in pheonix. Lakers have the same team as last year excpet - ariza +artest, i say its bright for them, but what can i say i like la. But don't get me wrong i'm a witness of king lbj too. amazing player
Comparing at their primes, LBJ is a bit more talented in terms of physical ability than Kobe. But any day Kobe is helluva lot smarter than LBJ. Kobe's got a brain for basketball like nothing else I've seen. I'd pick K24 over LBJ any day of the week. Even now when Kobe's 30, I think Kobe is better than LBJ. And for those of you who think Kobe's arrogant, you're still thinking about Kobe from several years ago. He's a better man than he was back then. Lebron's got potential, just gotta tune it. But Kobe for me.
kobe is geting old but he's stil great and at it. lebron is qeen and agressive so..ill go with kobe since i do love old schools!
kobe, definitely the best in the game right now, lebrons seems pretty good, but more of a power player
lebron is getting better each season and he is still young. He just need better teammates to win the NBA finals.
