Lebron James is a young player and still can be more better in next few season...
Kobe is great but not all the time.... some say he's like MJ but he's still far away from legendary MJ...

    bbes Incredible

well MJ was not only rele gd but he had great awareness and teamwork skills which meant that other players started to play well too which made the team even better.

Definitely LeBron. Kobe is the greatest choker in the history of the game with that amount of talent. (04 Lakers VS Pistons, 08 Lakers VS Celtics)

u serious? the 08 lakers are a far better team than the 04 lakers... Peyton and Malone should have retired instead of glory hunting, Kobe hadn't hit his prime yet, Rick Fox was a 35yo hack... and their bench was nothing to right home about besides maybe Fisher and Grant... the 04 Lakers was Shaq's team... it was also a team of incredibly bull shit egos... just forget about Shaq VS Kobe... Malone and Peyton aren't exactly the easiest people to play with...

u also seem to forget that this Pistons team who would ride with the Spurs as the top 2 teams in the league for the next 3yrs...

u also seem to forget that the Celtics this year was just a completely stacked team... even their bench could outplay many starters on other teams near the end of the season...

lets get this straight guys... LBJ is a great player and can potentially become the greatest, his physical attributes just give him that great advantage... but hey, lets be real... he's young and still lacks awareness, it's not hard to rack up the assists when u have a 7'3" center that u can just lob the ball to every night...

and when compared to Kobe, LBJ simply can't shoot... there's always that one spot, on the left just a little under the perimeter... if Kobe gets there... u can't stop him... he'll hit that shot lights out... LBJ doesn't have a shot like that...

Kobe is also the better clutch player... whoever denies this hasn't watched bball enuff to argue... in the entire league, the only person that u'd even think about giving the ball to besides Kobe in a clutch situation in this very moment is maybe Ginobli...

Kobe also defends better... he's proved that in Beijing... only Battier and Bowen are better at defending wingmen...

The only real arguable attribute that makes LBJ better... would be that LBJ can get to the basket at will... EASILY... he's tall, he's strong and he's aggressive... at this point... I would give it to LBJ... proven when he raped 4 Celtics including Garnett on that massive dunk...

lol why people dissing on kobe? obviously he's on the top of the list , why call him a choke? unless you don't know NBA.

as for LBJ > KOBE my argument is that, he may not have a proven fadeaway jumper from like 20feet out that's nearly auto in, but he does have a nice J as of late. he hit back to back, 3s before in the playoff during crucial moment.
in clutch siutation LBJ is equally good because he can go into the lane for easy points/fouls.

kobe has the advantage on FT also, but LBJ takes ridiculously amount of FTs, so that should somewhat make up for that category.

defense, is all kobe. no lie. awareness, although lbj has more rebound on both ends i think..

LBJ has like a 360 sight at usch a young age. i do not think KOBE>LBJ in awareness, because LBJ has the 7'3 center, but what is pau then? pau definitely superior to illgasukas.

leadership, i'd have to say about the same. kobe does carry the lakers, but lbj done what no man has ever done for their team, bring a team missing playoff since forever back to playoff in 2 years and to the finals in 4? (my years might be off)

iono all in all, both are arguably better on ur team but it'll prob be one of the great questions which will never be answered, like how many licks does it get to the center of a lollipop

LBJ has a poor mid range shot, that's what i've always seen to be his true weak point... compared to Kobe it's no question... LBJ's threes are quite good... i will admit it's about as good as Kobe... but if we're talking 17-20ft... LBJ just can't hit those like Kobe or Melo or even Flash...

Clutch wise... look I'll give u that LBJ does have some clutch factor in him... he proved it against the Piston's 2yrs ago... but the definition of clutch... undeniable clutch...

    and

LBJ can hit those, but Kobe just one ups him on it... Kobe does it several times a season...

Pau is not Big Z... BigZ is a power guy... he gets the ball, turns and puts it in... Pau has to make his shots and is generally i guess... fluffy... u saw what happened in the finals... when Garnett was on the floor, both Odom and Pau turned to fluff... no fight in them... Odom had one good game... and i think that was game 3... and Pau's numbers were consistent, but his play just wasn't there...

Leadership... u want to talk about team carriage? what had Kobe been doing the 2yrs b4 this 08 season? lol... he single handedly kept the Lakers in the playoffs IN THE WEST...

    Kobe

Lebron is overrated by the media. He may be big and quick, but his shooting is not that good. All he does is just run in and either lays it in or dunks it.

well he did keep them in the playoff, but he didnt get them out of first round. lbj was able to deliever them to the finals, granted that the east is not as challenging as the west, but still. beating teams like the pistons and wizards (of gilbert/arenas/antawn), and lost only 3-4 to the eventual champs celtics (who 4-2'd lakers, but i'm not using that as an argument, celtics just turned it up afterwards) is pretty impressive. i think lbj is better leadership, because kobe caused all that drama in between, lbj had never had any drama. but then both are great leaders cant really argue this -.-

the Wizards will never beat the cavs... LBJ just holds all the cards against the Wizards... they match up well against them newayz... no one can stop LBJ getting in, they have no real perimeter defense and they lack serious size so they can't match the Cavs rebounding...

LBJ doesn't have to cause any drama cuz that organization would do anything to keep him in Cleveland... look what they've tried to do the last 3 seasons... all the trades, money and the risk... first they chucked $50million at Larry Hughes, then they dropped another fat contract on BigZ, gave LBJ the 3yr mini contract he wanted, threw more money at Varejao and gave up their expirings to grab Ben Wallace and Szerbiak AND their trash contracts... and now they grabbed Mo Williams...

on the otherside... Kobe got NOTHING... i mean comon... they traded caron butler away for KWAME?! the only thing i guess u can mention is his no trade clause... then finally this year... they finally spent the money... and now there's no drama...

well that's true, but obviously cavs havn't done the right moves so far, i mean the supporting cast of lbj is there, they just lack maturity. they tried bringing in maturity in big ben and larry, that really didnt fall too well. mo williams will prtobably fit realy well, he is hella good pass first pg anyways and can also score. the big contracts are just business, they had money to spare anyways for not signing anyones the last decade since lbj arrived. like knicks, they tried too, doesnt mean that they'll bring in the right cast, cavs didnt bring in the right cast thats y lbj hasnt win a ring yet. (although it's approaching pretty fast i predict :p)

for lakers, they pretty much didnt do anything because they were waiting on the opportunity. they went for KG, but couldn't afford him. went for Kidd but couldn't afford him either. just other teams overall had more offers that attracted the bigger names cause lakers had a bunch of players with some pretty solid contacts, vujacic, walton, mihim all was in the 3-5 mill range, which proved to be good investment for they developed. bynum too got a good contact offer for 09 for like 3.7mill (he sohuld get more obv) pau is the only good change in the lakers roster and not matching the offer of turiaf to us (warriors) was amazing)

Take a look at Kobe's performance in those finals. He's a choke. He can't win without a prime Shaq.

  17. LBJ because he is young and has the potential to be greater in the next few years.... =D

ahahahahahaha... that's the funniest thing i've ever heard... a prime Shaq is quite possibly one of the greatest centers ever... but truth be told... the Lakers' threepeat between 2000-2003 were cakewalks compared to the current Celtics...

but if u want to argue the Finals... it wasn't Kobe's fault... except for maybe Game 4 and his assist whoring lol... but honestly... it rly wasn't Kobe's fault... between losing the massive leads and shocking inside defense... there's nothing u can rly try to do if u can't defend inside... of all people... even LEON POWE took it inside agains the Lakers...

And you proved my point... A prime Shaq is one of the most dominating centers ever, and Kobe contributed to the lost of a 4-peat (2004), so what's funny in that? Kobe's a choker, plain and simple.

And the Lakers losing to the Celtics wasn't his fault? Guess you didn't watch the Final yourself... lol
    Game 1: 9/26 24,3,3,6
    Game 2:11/23 30,4,8,3
    Game 3:12/20 36,7,1,2
    Game 4: 6/19 17,4,10,4
    Game 5: 8/21 25,7,4,5
    Game 6: 7/22 22,3,1,1

Basically, he's a bum 4 out of the 6 games. And in one of the good games he had (Game 2), he helped the team blew a 24 freaking points lead in the 4th quarter, LMAO. Biggest choked game/series in the playoff since the Yankees blew a 3 to 0 games lead in the ALCS against the Red Sox.
On Leon Powe, he took it inside because they can afford to do so when Kobe's struggled on the opposite end, which gave him the chance to do so (and further exposed their weak interior defense). If Kobe didn't struggle this badly, I would reckon they would give most of their chances to the Big Three.

I also never see a superstar who practically gave up on a NBA Final game until Kobe did it in Game 6. What a choking performance by Kobe...

And I didn't even mention his 2004 chokejob (38% FG throughout the Final w/ one good game) with a dominating Shaq who cannot be stopped on the offensive end (until Detriot starts the hack-a-Shaq attack).

If that's not a choker, who is? -rolleyes
