I hate it when people refer CPU as a whole computer, like turn off the CPU. CPU stands for "Central Processing Unit" It's a god damm chip made by Intel or AMD.
Asus notebooks are priced right. Eventhough Sony Vaio's are overpriced, not by much, I prefer them when I'm buying a notebook. I love my Sony Vaio Z.
I would suggest against acer. My friend has an acer and her laptop start to crack within two years use. I think this one looks good: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/ASUS+-+...bolsp-app05-31?id=1218290442043&skuId=1773105
apple computers are a lot better spec'ed these days for their price but i still think that they are overpriced in comparison to other computers but then again u do get the brilliant designs. but for a normal user, i'm tending actually to business laptops. they might be boring but they are built better and seem to be more durable for lugging around which is what a laptop should be designed to do surely. dell is pretty decent with the business laptops. obviously if u had the money the best one to go for i think is a thinkpad.
^ +1 on ThinkPad! Especially the T series ThinkPad from Lenovo is recommended for any pro-business users, but no hard-core gaming though! Op, please take a look on craigslit or Fleebay on some of the used T400(14'' inch) or T500(15") of Thinkpad. These laptops built and design to last longer than your average consumer notebooks. Here is one prime example off Fleebay: T400
T400 and T500 with flex-free keyboard FTW -rockon The older or previous gen T series ThinkPad from Lenovo is what I preferred because I already seem or heard people are having palm rest cracks on the their T410s after few of months in service. :ugh:
