wow if your capping your upload at 7-8 kb/s then i must be doing something wrong to cap mine at 150-160 kb/s. i just wish i can download at my max speed or get my return of 150-160 kb/s back

bittornado came out a while ago. I'm using the original bittorrent client and its pretty good now. I like that it doesn't lag my computer when its on. If BitTyrant won't slow down my computer, I'll give it a try.

I'd give it a try but my total upload speed sucks

Im not critising you, but I do agree to with what you said about seeding afterwards thats if people seed afterwards but generally from what I seen and experienced the main reason people cap their speeds is because they want to finish the d/l quickly and leave without seeding afterwards so it generally doesnt happen <_<

but im not saying capping your speeds is wrong to a certain degree capping it down to 5-10% your max upload speeds helps with your max download speed but i was directing my comment to the ppl who d/l at like say 200kb/s and upload at 5kb/s capping it that way is greedy and will effect others if loads do it like this

and from what you said above i dont understand by getting a max upload speed by capping it (since your capping it you will get the speed that its capped at not the full), you get a max upload speed from your line just by leaving it as it is and it (bitcomet) uploads at full providing that there are peers to recieve o_O

I have pretty shitty cable internet...-noclue But, generally capping upload speeds does reduce peoples download. In general. Then there are the few exceptions...me;)

I don' t think that this new userclient will improve your download speed that much. A friend of mine just came from hong kong and he usually had good downloadspeed while downloading torrents from http://forum.p2pzone.org. But when he came to the Netherlands, his download speed wont go faster then...50kbps, maybe more, with a 20Mbps Internet connection. So that is with torrents that are hosted in China or in Hong Kong (i guess). I dont know this for sure, but we always had low download speed, especially with TVB series and chinese movies.
I really hope that more chinese people will use usenet to share and download. 'cos the downloadspeed is awsome!

I'll give this a try, if it doesn't perform up to expectations, I'll go back to bitcomet.

    Thanks for the info.
