If Luongo can be the captain, why can't Toskala??? If he can win 40+ games this year with such a crappy team, he deserves to be the captain next year. They should give him an "A" this year. I guess it's still not bad working at the ACC part-time and getting all the fringe benefits like see the games & concerts for free...pretty sweet still...LOL. I would try to keep the job part-time if you can. Osgood may be a better pick for more wins just because he is playing for a better team...not saying Osgood is better than Luongo.
Detroit definitely will win more games, but will Ossie play enough games - Conklin is a pretty good backup - he will get his fair share fo games - my top choice was Brodeur but he was taken before I was able to pick him.
If Ossie can get you about 40 wins, it's pretty good. I agree Brodeur would be a great choice but not sure how long he can still play at this level. At some pt, his age will catch up to him... Other possible choices might be Fleury, Lundqvist or Kiprusoff.
I heard from a radio show - a quote from Patrick Elias - that Brodeur is in the best shape he ever been for years. Therefore he will break the shutout record this year.

omg!! yesterday's game!! WTFF 4-2 with liek 2 minutes left liek 20% of fans were leaving the building and they scored 2 goals...i rushed to see the the shootout up close and they lost WTF!! WASTEEE
These are some of my sleeper pick: Markus Naslund-will be play on the top PP line, Andy McDonald - have one of the best pre-season (11 pts), Johan Franzen and Jiri Hudler - playing on the line with Henrik Zetterberg as second line in Detroit.

the leafs are not suppose to win any games this year...LOL...just don't set your expectations too high. pyip, good sleeper picks and observations. i am thinking of someone like Selanne coming back and have a strong season this year...similar to A. McDonal and even Gomez. who would be your top offensive pick? 1) Crosby 2) Malkin 3) Lecavalier 4) Ovechkin 5) Iginla 6) Zetterberg I think Iginla may surprise some people this year with the new additions.
