I believe Gerber has an expiring contract? Not sure about Kolzig. Remember that Toskala has been playing good and they don't wanna injure him when they aren't even going to the playoffs.
Kolzig is actually injured too and is most likely retiring at the end of the season. Leafs picked him up with the other 3 shitty players and a draft pick in exchange for 1 shitty leaf because the other team's salary load was too high. So in exchange for taking the salary load, they gave us a draft pick. Gerber will actually be put to use since Toskala is out.

TOTALLY AGREED. I have no idea why the leafs gave up there 2 best players sundin and McCabe but luckily we had Blake and he really stepped up for the leafs or the leafs season would have been a disaster.

At least when he comes back he is still a big body to try to move from the in front of the net, and you have to check the guy cuz even with 25% left he is still better than lots of players out there... and gives some breathing room for the TWINs (Sedins)
^ i been a sundin fan for a long time and i reallly think this year he deserves the cup because he's retiring soon....i think hes better playing with wellwoood than sedin twins....well thats my opinion
