damn that video card is overpriced but the ability for quad sli is appealing...but what would you really be using ALL of that processing for??

i'll just stick to my 8800gt OC until its time to change again...

  2. yar like thats the latest thing... didn't you kno..

or maybe install like a rumble pack in yourself.. -lol

or maybe you could shoot projection of the game through your eyes.. -shock

  6. lol nah fearless im waiting a few more years as because i dont need a desktop computer yet... my laptop is sufficent so when i do build my desktop its gonna be beasty! and at that time im sure newer graphics cards will be made to really take a big step from their previous generations, although this has nothing to do with it im waiting on the USB3.0 to be released, <--- cause that is when im planning that i will really need a desktop which is like either late 08 or early 09 hopefully

USB 3.0 will actually be money, i wish i had it, it would speed up the connections between my computer and my external HDD significantly

lol, I have ONE 8800GT with 2GB of RAM and I run Crysis fine.

The 9800GT was made to counter ATI's HD 3870 x2 and yeah, it does require a LOT of CPU, like 550 watts for one, 700 for when you want to go SLI. Pretty hectic.

haha... yeah the 9800 is way over priced now... rather get the 8800 at this time.. maybe 9800 will be a better price in a year time

true.. since they got killed by ATI now.. lol MSRP for 9800GTX is $199.99. MSRP for HD4850 is $199.99 also... lol and now nvidia is going to release 9800GTX+ to beat ATI.. while ATI releasing HD4870 no clue on performance yet.

lol RTH... killed? not rly... performance wise both cards are about the same... and it only took ATi 3 generations to finally get back on top... and technically it's not even on top yet since NVIDIA still owns the "above" $199 level of video cards...

    sooooo....

mmm.. paying $300-$400 for 9800GTX+ right? yea thats the only card they might be above if you pay that much... wonder what will it be.. HD4870 vs 9800GTX+... or ...?

The HD4850 was only aiming for beating down the 8800 series...

At that price, the 4850 has more to worry about than the 8 series cards.
