I don't think there's anyone in the world that has never lied but I think it depends on the meaning / intent behind the lie that makes it more acceptable or not...

every single person makes mistakes .... even saints had made mistakes before...
some ppl might have developped a habit in lying...
but are all lies bad though?

It depends on how bad the lie was. If it was a good intentional lie then fine, it's ok and forgiving. But if it's a bad one that really hurts, then the trust in between is broken, and there will always be that possibilty that the other person will not trust you again.

The best thing is not to lie, but it's hard as everyone lied at least once in their lifetime.

well i think it depends on the person, some may change but some may always be a liar.
I knew a girl in school who lied about her whole life, pretending to have a twin,to be smarter than anyone,to be possessed etc. Thanks to her poor memory,we knew she lied but never really told her,so she continued with her lies...it's sad how people can be liars and pathetic!

  11. Once a liar always a liar means everyone is a liar (which is true)

anyone here willing to say they have never lied?

everyone is a liar.. it depends how big the lie is...
if its little white lies they are fine becvause everyone has to lie sometimes to through life..
if it's big ones like pretending they are pregnant or money situation and all that and the fact they got caught and change then no they aint always a liar but in this world some people just don't change =.="

it's only a lie if you don't believe!... i believe!

    therefore... I am not a liar ;)

omg u just lied aoe... can you honestly tell me that you have never told a lie? not even an innocent one?

  17. from my observations people tend to confuse lying (white or whatever) with discretion.

give me some examples of when a lie is ok so i can see if there is an easy alternative without lying, dont use the "is my bum big" one as that can be answered with my first sentence. :kekekegay:

a compulsive or pathological liar will love you for that statement -bowroflarms

discretion can be lies because they choose to say what the person wants to hear which is not necessarily the truth.. lol

  20. That dude needs to decide if he wants to be a boy or girl.

haha, saying what a person wants to hear rather than what you really want to say is called a 'cop out', a way to avoid trouble or a situation you cant be bothered to deal with.

Discretion according to the English dictionary (and me :p) has noting to do with lying.

but you have proven my point that people tend to confuse lying with discretion
