A lot of the users here are probably under the age of 18 and will most likely plan to go to uni. Its pretty hard to pay for uni and rent especially when you have to worry about school.
^ He said he's 18. And yah don't have to pay for all the rent. That's what roomies and apartment hunting are for. If you find a good deal with enough roomates getting an off campus apt can cost alot less than staying in a dorm and with less rules.
wow... a girl asking for a car and get to school because its 'safer'? And i thought i was a bad person, well, not really... but the spoilt girl 'negiqboyz' posted is too much la. That would never happen in an asian family, too much rules compared to the western families - it seems. Its just a stereotype - where western families are mostly laid back, and asian families are just $%#@!%#^$#%@%$#. Actually i shouldnt say that cus im in a asian family, and i love them =) They just care for us maybe a little too much... maybe... Im sure we all had a gamer phase, obviously i did, during my IGCSE course... was terrible, game so much .... in the end, i studied so hard month before exams and yet i still got satisfactory grades.... parents werent with me, cus i lived alone for a year since they moved and i couldnt really move away in a middle of a two year course.... So i guess they are just caring for us, why they are being so strict on us... oh well.... good luck to everyone with the same situation as me =)
they are just worried about you and there is nothing wrong with that. just put yourself in their shoes, at 18 your old enought to think for yourself but not always wise enough to make the right choice. wait till your a parent and you will see where they are coming from. I moved out out my house when i was 16 (moved back when i was 18), moved to another Province when i was 24, and now moving to another country. I bet there is not one day that my moms worried sick about me
