I saw the first episode and just stopped altogether since. It's so stupid. Kate is freaking STIFF .. Kenneth is good but the chemistry between him and Kate ain't there to pull things off and overshadow Kate's horrendous acting. I think it's a waste of time watching altogether. I was looking forward to see it at first but not anymore. I think all the funny scenes have been shown in the preview .. the rest is just boring and draggy stuffs. It's highly NOT recommended unless you have plenty of time to kill on your hand.
I like this series than The King of Snooker. TKOS is so dry ... I believed Kenneth Ma will also be chemistry with Leili Tong, so I guess it will be better .
personally i don't find it that bad. I actually find it better then the winter melon tale and the first episode of TKOS
^ WHAT .. I nearly choke on my sandwich when I read that .. Kenneth ... acceptable but KATE as your favorite actress .. hmmm .. that's a big joke.
it's not that bad. i actually think there's chemistry between kate and kenneth. on the other hand, i don't see any chemistry between he and leila. leila is kind of boring to watch since i find that most of the characters that she acts are very similar. i actually like kate in this series. yes, i agree, this series is better than TKOS. but what happened to TVB series nowadays? they're getting pretty boring....
Personally I watched about half of the first episode and couldn't take it anymore. I don't find this series interesting or funny. I think all the series TVB has shown so far has been kind of boring besides EU. Kate is always stiff still, Kenneth is fine, Lelia is kind of boring. Still waiting for a good series to air.
The first episode sucked royally, and did the show a huge disservice. But as the eps go on, it starts to get a lot better. And Leila -inlove
That Chow Peng funny slang is funny.......he's trying to imitate those acting from ol days(black and white).......the drama is not bad...but I kinda prefer Winter Melon somehow.....
What I find rather amusing is that the only thing these period dramas ever talk about when it comes to history is the corruption of officials, and of course, the star is always the one to heroically take the high road above all costs. -innocent2 Every single pre-republican Chinese period drama has this to some degree.
im surprised no one mentioned matthew's performance. hes the one that bothers me the most! he looks like a joke to me when he tries to be serious and authoratative.
i watched it today with my mum it was like say 2nd episode.. and i wasnt tooo keen on it but what comes out of Chow Bing's mouth is really funny though... don't see the whole story line to him to be perfectly honest...
The first episode almost killed it, but then it sorta picked up afterwards. Not bad. Good if you like these sorts of period dramas.
I saw the first EP and did not like it. I stopped for a week but nothing to watch so I went after the second.. and now I am following it - hehehehe
