hey you guys all using photoshop right then whats the difference between painshop pro and photoshop? which is easier to use? -confused
so do you have to start with paintshop and then work your way to photoshop? which is better as i wanna learn it too
It all depends on what you want to archive at the end? If you want to do simple things and have no ambition to create professional high quality things, it is best to stick to paintshop. But if you want to end up as pro. You should start learning Photoshop. The standard for professionals
oh i see thankies....so new photoshop...should i get that CS3 thing?? can you download it or do ya have to buy it? i think i got adobe photoshop cs2 a while ago from one of my friends.....is that the one we all using??
i have it, but dunno how to use it. lol i like that korean software one.. something hidaru.. or something. alot easier to use! lol
I don't think the program(s) have actually gotten any better still just as slow opening up. Photoshop CS3 doesn't really boast any real features that deserve it's price tag if you've already have CS2 I'd stick with it. The only noticeable differences I see are that the menu layout has changed a bit (though you can reshuffle it back to how it was before) and the integration with the ex Macromedia programs (specifically Flash). As for Flash CS3, I don't see any differences either, seems like Adobe just rebadge/relogoed the old Flash. If you use Photoshop and Flash on a regular basis, I don't think you'll even touch the new features - which imo means they're not worth it. But still, if you can get hold of it for free or other means () then give it a go. I'm waiting for After Effects and Premiere, those 2 should have a much bigger renovation from the other programs in the CS3 suite. Oh and just a note, you can get Photoshop on it own, but you can also get suites (there's 3 suites, but also normal and pro versions making 6 in total) the Master Collection Suite is the grand daddy of them all - all Adobe programs in a bundle and costs about $3000
now that is an informative post right there.. Premiere CS3 does sound good... I've used media studio pro, and final cut pro but I haven't used Premiere before. Maybe I should check that out.
im using Creative Suite CS3. The icons are ugly, and the photoshop animation features are all bugged out. my $.02
I've not tried Premiere CS3 (obviously) but if you've used Final Cut Pro, I don't think you'll be swayed over to Adobe. Nirvania, I find the icons ugly too, I quite like the blue feather icon of Photoshop CS2 -^_^
Actually there are some way to speedup cs2/3 on startup/opening files. 1. In the plug-in directory of photoshop there's a digimarc, which checks protected watermarks in files, if you dont use that you can disable the plugin by placing a ~ in front of the file, this will disable it. Which results in opening files more faster. If you have a computer with more than 1gb Ram you can activate a plugin so that photoshop uses ram more agressivly to draw images, this wil speedup image redraw. Remove the ~ sign in plugins > extensions > bigger tiles> bigger tiles.plugin
go down to the computer store n u can put one hand on Photoshop CS3 and the other hand on Flash CS3 -clapclap
nice! cause theres a program to disable plugins in reader so i figured there was one for photoshop. hmm i put a ~ in front of the digimarc files but don't see too much of a difference.. =/ lol where should I put my hands if I wanna set 'em on Dawn??
