i'm not that bovered about it cos most aren't insanely huge, if they were then they might annoy me but not rele that annoyed tbh.
On this page for example, the useful text occupies less than 1% of the visible area. This is unacceptable! It is analogous to finding gold dust from you amongst the rocks that you blast out! It is real hard work. And for those (not me) with a portable internet device it is very difficult. Besides if you want to get your message across do not lose the plot by irrelevant pictures. God bless those who listens! Make the size of your avatars and signatures inversely to the size of your ego please, say , not more than 5 cm X 4 cm. Focus in getting your words out only please. Being oriental I bet many of you would do the opposite just to spite people and get a sense of morbid satisfaction( as shown above.. hahaha)!
you have read our minds. congratz. lol anyways, if the size of our avatars bug you so much, why dont you talk to the admins who allowed for this, or just ignore it.
It is an inconvenience. This is one of my favourite sites because of the contents and the contributors but repetitive overload of oversizes pics is interesting for the first viewing but is unnecessary after a few times.
well people put up avvies because they like them .. its not like we show it to people once and then change it right away and besides ... one of the things i want VIP status for is to get a big shiny avvy =D

Ok solution... Pretty simple to... Download firefox: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ Use adblock to block images. If you can't do it then you need a plug in called ad block plus: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865
Meh, I don't like them big avvy and sigs... I just ignore them because I think the VIPs have earned it. It's one of those things I don't care much for... Doesn't even care enough to start a rant -tongue2

It did get annoying for me for a while, but then I just got use to it. I've been to some forums where their siggys, it would be the size of a wallpaper, now THAT was damn annoying. Same with their Avvys, they were so damn large, they took up have the page. Honestly wtf? But the sizes on this forum are alright. Besides, a number of the avvy's are funny.
