lol maybe for the tv, but the rest is in the right thread :riaa: lol it's a shitty receiver imo i would NEVER buy sony gear unless it has the playstation logo on it, or unless it was on sale. sony = shitty to me
Well some recent stuff i purchased was a new graphics card. I got two of them in SLI Some other stuff i just bought in past week. Last but not least, what i store everything i get on after my 1.3tb hd is low. heheh
New soundcard to match my soundsystem 2 x 1GB OCZ DDR2 RAM PC 6400 to get on 4GB (3.25GB) on my Win 7 32bit System
i would love to but its a tight space with much hardware, and no where else to go. My case has the down fall of psu on the bottom compartment so it not helping, other then the noise.
i dunno, personally i think youre better off with an optical connection with a receiver instead of a analog sound card.
The X-Fi has what creative calls a "FlexiJack". It's basically an input or output jack depending on what you want it to be. In output mode, it outputs a digital signal that can be fed into a receiver to be decoded.
Woohoo...someone did his homework =) Its weired, I just noticed that the Photo is not exactly the same as my card. My card doesnt has the ancient Gameport but as kontra says an optical in and output. Even I connected my system trough the 3.5mm jack the sound difference between this and the onboard sound is amazing. THX Certicicated Speakers + THX Certificated Card = WOW
i have an xfi xtreamblahblah - it has its driver problems, real annoying, works perfect with xp though. crystallized ginger
^lol prob not crystallized ones thoooo i would use it when i cook... but id chuck it outta my food after cooking straight after
I was using the X-Fi Elite Pro last year until I went liquid cooling and the card wouldn't fit anymore. Now I'm just using a digital optical pass through to my receiver. Glad you're enjoying the X-Fi Lmao, you're having all kinds of problems with Vista. I had the Elite Pro running perfectly, even with the external sound box attached to it. You might have a serious case of "You're doing it wrong".
No problems til now with the X-Fi & Win 7 ....over all I really like Win7...not a single problem til now. (using it for like 2 month)
I'm assuming, because of the fact that you're running an SLI setup, that performance is important to you, yes? Clearing out the cables improves airflow which improves cooling. Just some food for thought. Give it some time.
its the same with win7 too, now and then, massive static comes and it stop smaking sound, i have to go into the sound settings and fix it up, the PCI express will work fine though, the one you mentioned too i guess. ill get a pci-express card when i see one cheap enough
