I have yet to try water cooling, since I don't overclock, my evo 212 works pretty well. I actually considered the one you have, what do you use for cooling now then?
Both PCs use the same H80i GT. I didnt change it, what happened was I thought the pump was broken on my main pc, so I rma'd the cooler and they sent me a brand new updated H80i v2 which is the exact same thing, rebranded and they said its better compatibility with win 10. If I had known the i5 6500 came with a stock fan, I wouldn't of bought a water cooler. Still water cooling keeps things quiet and a few degrees lower. I don't plan on OC either but it's ready if needed. If you get a m.2 ssd be aware your ssd temps will be about 10 degrees higher than a 2.5"
interesting, I'll keep that in mind, for now I am good temperature readings with both my i7s around mid 60s when gaming and low 50s to high 40s when idle or just regular use.
Still though, are you playing outside in the cold? 50 F is 10C which is like the beginning of winter for us. Idle is 21C for me which equates to about 68F........I hit around 85F when it's processing
