Gerrard is the last man you want to substitute. hes Liverpool saviour and most consistent player, how many times has he come up with the goals, create the chances and even drive the team on ~
well it is the manager's decision at the end of the day and if he felt that gerrard wasn't likely to score then he took the gamble and it didn't pay off but it may have.
its true that managers always have the last say in subs... but i personally say its was a mistake if he wanted to opt for a win ! and only a couple of mins was left!! but if the reason were to preserve gerrard so that he dont burn out then maybe it was the right decision!

that Liverpool vs Chelsea game, the referee was diabolical. Lampard shouldnt have been sent off, he got the ball first and Alonso just made a meal out of it, changed the course of the game from there on. Bosingwa sticking his boot into the back of a Liverpool player and the referee didnt give him a card and the FA let him off. WTF?? but good on Torres to bag two goals in the dying moments of the game but if hes injured, who are they gonna rely up front when they just sold Keane to Spurs >.< and the Arshavin saga, haha, took its time and we still dont know if its done. have to wait til today apparently ~ he better be worth the hassle
