no were actually in the best position
theres gonna be a limit of a 25 players over 21 in the squad. No limit for under-21 players. 8 of the 25 squad places can only be filled with homegrown players, so only 17 foreigngrown players (over 21) are allowed. for a player to be classed as homegrown they need to be with a club (registered in the english or welsh FA) for three seasons or 36 months (continuous or not) between the ages 16 and 21.

in our current squad we got: mannone (22), Djourou (23), clichy (24), song (22), denilson (21), fabregas (22), bendtner (22), campbell (35), then the players who are under21: Szczcesny (19), gibbs (20), traore (19), eastmond (19), lansbury (19), ramsey (19), walcott (20), vela (20) and merida (19) but needs another year to qualify as hg.

plus we got a bunch of youth players (who won the acadmy league this season, league and cup year before). and we got players in reserves who will probs play in the cc cup next season with some of the under18.

i wonder what citeh and the chavs squads will look like....
