i have both.... but i tend to play the DS more b/c there a lot more games that u can get access to with an R4!
I think manhunt 2 is banned in UK :( I got both PSP and NDS. If you're more into a game with storyline, decent graphics and more of the PS games then go for PSP. NDS game are less intense, more mini games, but there are games like final fantasy if you like story also.
it really depends on what you really like psp has its games and graphics but for ds its more interactive but you might get bored of it quick. my bf has both but i took his psp to play for now !!!
PSP has better graphics and stuff but I still prefer NDS. The games on the NDS are more fun (for me). Nintendo uses a new technology in gaming, so I prefer that more than the PSP
I would get the NDS. I got it for my gf and she loves it whereas many of my friends got the psp and haven't touched it much.

i own both and i have to say choosing one over the other depends on what kind of gamer you are. DS is mainly for multiplayer games (better if all your friends have DS too), and PSP is mainly for single player games
PSP all the wayyyyy hehe but thats cos i am a tekken freak... but textris attack on the DS is very tempting i do say... =D
