I would take the PSP, but then again, it all really depends on the games you want to play. If you want to play.
i think if really depend what you like to do more, but psp is more one on one gaming and Ds lite is playing with other people. i have one and its the best thing ever invented!! be smart and buy a flashcard : )
on ds u can watch movie listen to music and games with touch screen psp has no touch screen and if u buy the umd games it takes ages to load
graphics aren't everything. i haven't played my psp since earlier this year. they just dont' have many good games, mostly just ports of ps1 and shitty versions of ps2 games. im kinda pissed that i traded in my first ds for the psp. ive got a ds lite now, gets played alot more.
Sony PSP is definately the best mobile console in the market now... no competitions to it so far. However, if you want to play games like Mario, etc.... then Nintendo DS might be good to have too if you have the extra $$$... -scooter
wot there both good unless u buy the games its crap cause psp games takes ages to load and ds games theres not much released in certain areas (i download games for psp and ds lite)
Buy NDS!!! if your want it purely for fun, addicting gaming..but the psp is more stylish and has more functions such as movies and music...
i would choose the ds. im gonna to buy a handheld system this coming week and ive thought about it too. the psp has a lot of functions but the functions are not really for me. PSP: 1. Movie viewing: screen is wide for handhelds but still too small for my taste and im not the type of stare at a lil screen for 1hour+ to watch a movie. the point of a handheld is to do things on the go or at work lol. i cant watch a movie and stop every 10 minutes. 2. viewing pictures: who views pictures on their lil handhelds. maybe read a lil manga but thats about it. i only read naruto manga and that comes out once a week so its pretty useless for me. ppl who read and watch porn on the subways might find the psp useful. 3. music: PSP too big for an mp3 player, especially when its only 1-4gb max. and thats not even pure music. 4. Games: most games on psp also on ps2. emulators on psp are good but ppl only use it for gameboy and other nintendo emulators, but gba covers a lot of classic nintendo games. games from the psx on for emulators are probably too big. 5. web browsing: i have to admit this is the one feature that the DS dont have and needs. there is a ds browser but its only in europe i think. if you have a sidekick this is also useless but i dont have a sidekick. all in all, the psp's many functions are nice but its not really necessary. DS: 1. fun games + playback function to gba games. haha i think thats all i have to say about the ds, its purely for fun. i also like the suspend feature where u can just close the screen and everything stops for you. well. that is my long criticism about the two handhelds. im clearly bias on the DS but i really find the PSP more of a small pc than a gaming system. the many functions and features seem nice and all but is it good for a handheld? i mean the sidekick is much better in terms of usefulness.
hmm never tried a psp but i was playing with my cousings ds a few weeks ago, we were playing the mini games on mario and they're addictive haha even if they're kiddy games lol
i was in the same position deciding between ds or psp i chose ds for the following reasons ds is cheaper games are different and fun most of the psp games can be found for the ps2 also i checked gamespot for the game reviews and compared which system had the most selection for my genre
if it helps at all, this past holiday season, i went to a whole lot of stores, you couldn't find a damn nintendo ds anywhere...yet you can find a buncha psps in every store. psps are crap. movies, no movie production company except sony itself will put out a umd movie anymore because noone wants to pay $20 for a less than dvd quality movie with alot less features, if any at all. music listening is crap bc all u can have is 1-4 gigs worth. games (its main damn function to begin with!) are mostly shitty ps1 or ps2 ports. im selling my psp to someone and im ashamed to say that i traded in my ds for this piece of sony crap(ive had 2 other ds' since, regular one bought used and a ds lite). oh and the opera browser for ds is coming soon i heard if you even care about wifi internet browsing on ur ds.
DS RUlessss the portable gaming MArkettt. and games are wayYY more fun in my opinion. psp is aLRIGhttt even though its graphics are wayy better dan ds. but nintendo proved that graphics dnt have to be all that. just the software has to be good and right now ds has got alot more better games.
