If ya just wanna play games on it... you'll probably want the DS as it's got better games than psp. However, if want an all around gadget... go with the PSP. Watchin UMD movies is just amazing with the crystal clear widescreen 16:9 damn near High Def. resolution. But beware the PSP does get dead pixels so it could look really bad. Other than that its up to you.
i woudl get the psp...since i have one myself =P i rkn it just wastes the DS in pretty much every aspect...except prolli gaming =/ firstly it has a much more sexy and sleeker design and makes the DS look like a silver foldable construction brick. secondly the graphics are mindblowingly kickass compared to the DS and makes its graphics look like gba thirdly it has many many more functions than the ds...they both have wifi , and the psp does lack an extra screen or touchscreenness...but it does have a very high res screen, multimedia capabilities (mp3, movies, pictures) not to mention its backed up by a strong homebrew team...even though its not designed for homebrew! it also has a web browser..and if youre willing to upgrade to higher versions of unhacked firmware then you have access to locationfree which lets you watch tv on the go...provided you have a locationfree base and a high speed net connection. you have RSS which allows you to play podcasts on your psp. does ds have any of these? not that i know of at least... the ds is recommended for the younger kids who lenjoy gameplay of gamesand dont really care about much else...its also considerably cheaper than the psp the psp though is aimed moreso at teenagers who appreciate a high class product with high visual awe and modern multimedia needs... does that help? =P
PSP will do alot more for you.. but it $$$.. if you wanna do more stuff with it.. example getting a bigger memory card..
get a PoP if ya money is tight, u can always play tetris and trick the girls into thinkin you ballin' wit a PsP.
U can't even compare the two cause DS is far less advance than the psp it like comparing a home theater system to a calculator !
The advantage for Nintendo DS is the touchpad it has, either its just like any other gameboy lol PSP is the way to go, but no good games yet
