They have the automated ones on the subway. I never knew they had it on the bus. heyy at least it doesn't sound like a computer. I think its actually recorded, no robot voice. Never got off at Queen before, sounds further cause Kings like 2 blocks from gbc, but i dont know, might just be mee
that idea already existed for years in the montreal transit system montreal >> GTA and tdot by far in transit
Public transportation is alright IMO. It is not always reliable and it could be be better. I don't like fare hikes and strikes either.
Public Trans sucks...for me....but i really still need it atm....since im a student and everyting in hs....but at least i don't need to pay on school days which is a good thing....the bad thing is that it takes like forever to get on a bus or a train in boston...though some buses are more reliable then others....i had to wait an hour once for a bus that was supposed to come every 10 min...i was like wth..-__-" then 5 of those buses came at teh same time..and 3 just ran right by with only 1 stopping to pick up..like a huge bunch of people...that was a pain....
itz alrite in the west coast but sucks in LA, I heard the longest one of my friends waited for a bus was like 3 hours during the day.
Montreal does have a great Transit system, considering their somewhat elaborate subway line for such a small place (I live downtown when I do stay in Montreal, or NDG, good buses~) New York, Hong Kong and Osaka (in fact, Japan in general) have the best transit system, as far as I have first hand experience. Though all of them are not cheap, but at least they are fast (faster than driving?), reliable and far-reaching. To me, the fare I can tolerate depends on how well the service is, for GTA, the TTC is definitely charging 200% too much >:(
im not too sure about new york... took it last year, and i didnt like it very much. personal opinion i guess.
wait..y do u need to take transit system in montreal? i thougth everything is like within walking distance in downtown
you thought WRONG! haha just kidding! honestly tho, montreal isnt THAT small. you still gotta take the "metro" around just like ttc.
WTF i dont' wanan go there and spend more money on transportation lol...is the hyatt hotel near all those strip clubs bars and clubs? and ofcourse chinatown
you might be able to walk from hyatt to strip clubs on st-catherines. but as for chinatown, you gotta at least bus.
I walk from Westmount to Chinatown... in below 30C days... I am just weird, I guess, but Ste. Catherine has so much to see!
damn..i ain't goin to chinatown then if i have to bus..i just wanan stay in one area...unless i go to casino then ill bus to chinatown..ill prob get lost lol and today fuking ppl steped on my tims..i hate it when trains r full and ppl rushing in a out
yo chinatown in montreal is a lot smaller then toronto kdot. like chinese are to markham/toronto, vietnamese are to montreal. you can check it out if you want, but there are better things to check out, like vieux-port. but as a 18-19, im sure you dont wanna go there.. i guess youd prefer casino, strips and saq.
last time i went to montreal was like 3 years ago....but then had a car so no need for the buses...i rememebr chinatown is like an alley and there's this restaurant on the 2nd floor in this old building..last time i was in the elevator myself and i pressed the button to go down 1 floor and i suddenly went to the basement? and there was no one there and it was quiet..fuking haunted there man....hmm i wonder if there are counterfeit tickets for montreal hahaahha
