to cut things short..my friend..one nite she was sleeping but she was attacked by a ghost..n it must have burned her hand..an she said she saw some gold thing moving towards her..anyways she ran to her mum..n the attack stopped..but ther were burns on her hand..=S After that day, her mum gave her a necklace to wear for protection..just in case..
pyromania could be a possibility, but to burn your whole hand through pyromania is unlickly unless the persons pain resistance is inhuman. but it could be a genuine case BUT its rare that a spirit has the authority to attack someone like this, especially a child assuming it happened when she was a child. then again worse things has happened.
i highly doubt she would be holding a lit lighter in her sleep <_< unless of course she was somnambulist... but thats a highly irregular possibility as well...

Well.. reading all these I'm getting so freaked out since on Monday I have a class trip and we will be spending a night at this hostel which is a 100 year old building that used to be a hospital for the military of World War II.. I've heard so much scary things about it! I told my teacher and she doesn't believe me. *shivers* hope I'll be okay! lol
lol, I'm so scared! sounds super scary.. but then I'd probably just bring my ipod and listen to some justin lo songs ;P about that whole ghost sittin on you thing. jeez so scary. I think I know people who had that happen to them.. also my cousin.. one time her and her friends were driving around and they were passing by a cemetary when the car broke down in front of the cemetary. the guys went to checked to see what happened while the girls stayed in the car.. then my cousin and her friends saw like two ghosts float by in front of their car.. then the car worked again. lol i guess the ghosts just needed to cross the street, eh?
One night I suddenly woke and as I slowly opened my eyes I saw a dark hooded figure (much like the reaper but without the blade, whatever it's called) standing to the left of my bed and I looked at it for about 2-3 seconds and I couldn't believe what I was seeing so I blinked once or twice in rapid successions and the figure was gone. I've searched online for encounters similar to mine and found quite a few and this encounter happens so frequently that people have even given this figure a name. I forgot what it was though since my search was done a while ago. I'm sure though that if you google "dark hooded figure at bed" you'll come up with very similar encounters that others have had. on that note, me and my friend done a all-weeker (basically doing essays etc all week with virtually no sleep) and he told me he was sitting down and he saw a showdowy figure standing next to him, when he realised what he was seeing, it was gone. that night i saw a strange globe of light type thing, when i realised what i saw it was gone. maybe i was tired but i believe my friend saw what he saw, its common for people to see dark shadowy figures in the corner of their eyes but when they turn their heads, its gone.
Here's another one that I don't think I posted yet so here goes. First I'm going to lay a fact on the table and that is during this event my friends and I were all on a few pills of extacy, each, alright. But, that won't and can't explain what saw because we simply don't share the same brain and eyes. Ok, I'll start off with the first sighting, if you want to call it that. And, only this one girl and I saw these things. Nobody else. almost everyone was in the living room except for me and this one girl -- we were in my room and laying on the bed kick'n it (we wern't making out or anything). The T.V. was off and as we were talking she points at the t.v. and asks me in a suprising voice if I can see what she's seeing. I turned around and couldn't believe what I saw and told her I was seeing people walking back and forth in the blank t.v. screen. It was like we were looking into another dimension where people were just going about their business on any city street except they were in the form of shadows. So she and I just looked at it amused and she looks over at the mirror and there's no reflection, basically she and I see a frame like object and in it we see even more shadow people. So her and I are thinking how are we seeing the exact same thing? And to this day we don't know. So we're just sitting on the bed watching and talking about it and I look to the right of my bed and I see this little girl sitting 1 feet away from me and looks like she's 6 and she's caucasian and just looking at me in a none threatening way and I see this girl for a good 5 seconds. Then I wave my hand at her and it goes right through and right at that moment I turn and look at the girl that's with me and she's looking at me like wtf are you doing?? She doesn't see this girl. She only see's the people in the reflections. I saw this girl sitting next to me. So we decide we've had enough and head out to the living room and then she looks at the t.v. in the living room which was off also and says to me, "I'm not going to tell you anything, look into the right side of the t.v. and tell me what you see". I look and I see the reflection of that same little girl that was sitting next to me in my room and she's hugging the lamp that's next to the sofa. Keep in mind it wasn't something that just went away right after we blinked or whatever. I remember her and I just standing there looking at this girl in the reflection and she's looking back at us while hunggin the lamp. Our friends didn't believe us and still don't believe us to this day. The rest of the things we saw were just shadow people but as far as the little girl -- we saw her just like if you were to stand in front of a t.v. that was off. Facial features and everything. She had on one of those dresses a typical 6 year old american girl would wear.
your very brave p3ps1c0la, if that was me i would have done a 'Jeet Kun Do' and run a straight line out of that house. i remember in my old house me and my bro shared a room. i was doing something so i called my brother over and when he came. about 20 seconds later heard a strange noise like a creek in the floorboard then i heard something push down on my brothers bed, like it was standing on the bed, I WAS SCARED TO DEATH!!! i remember laying in bed and a proper clear ghost sound came out of nowhere, you know that whistling sound that ghost stereotypically make, it was that, and it was very horrible because i could pick up the location of were it was coming from and it was moving about. I WAS SCARED TO DEATH!!!!! i remember sleeping in my living room and waking up to my little sister running downstairs crying to my mom telling her she saw a ghost upstairs, after what i had experienced (i kept it all to myself) i knew it was real. I I WAS SCARED TO DEATH!!!! though i was a few years older than my bro and sis, i started gong to bed the same time as them at like 7:30pm when it was bright outside cus i was to scared to go at night. i remember my mom making me stop at my aunts house which was KNOWN to be haunted, it was ok at first until some builders dug up the front garden and disturbed a jar thing with the cremation remains of one of the people who lived there earlier. when i went there something kept ringing the doorbell, and slamming the kitchen draws and cupboards and knocking the doors. I WAS SCARED TO DEATH!!!!! P.S i never stayed in that house ever again... At the end i got used to all these things and i eventually stopped caring, when i stopped caring i stopped noticing. i was so so so so upset when we left that house, after my family left the house i even stayed there alone for a week before joining my fam in our new house. when i went to college i had the internet at my disposal, so i decided to research the paranormal, you name it, i studied it, in the end this led me to believing in God.
