Noo, you can only choose one? I would choose them all! Depending on how they're made of course. Some Siu Mai have really nice real salmon roe on them, like at the place I like to eat dim sum but then I don't perfer their ha gau because of something similar to ma tai i guess that the restaurant puts in them. Butttt going all the way to the bottom, I guess I like wo tip since they taste good in restaurants and you can buy them frozen and cook them at home anytime, mmm now craving dim sum.
I love 9 choi gau most =/ but thats not an option....=/ then i guess i will choose for my mothers home made wonton!! >_< havent had that for almost 6 monthsss....cant waittt yum yum
i like all of them.. except sui gao.. cos i dunno wats that. but for health conscious ppl.. dun eat them.. dun think any of them are healthy to begin with..
I think out of the 4: Siu Mai Wo Tip (Pot stickers) Wonton Ha-gau Ha-gau is the least healthy (with the excessive oil used to make the skin), next up is Siu Mai (because traditionally they use fatty pork to make) and wo-tip (usually fried with excessive amount of oil). So the healthiest would be wonton in soup -^_^ Methink.
omg.. im drooling already.. looking at those pics.. wats that sauce i see in that wo tip pic? we dun use that here. we usually eat them with vinegar and ginger.. and for the ha gau.. i also like the fried ones, and eat them with mayo.. yummy..
I have no idea what those sauce is either... Didn't notice it until you mention it... -sweat, but I take most of these dumpling-type food with vinegar...Except for ha gau with chili sauce and mayo if it's fried... DELICIOUS... I am hungry >.<
Those dumplings look delicious... I want me some. Ha gau. Siu Mai is amazing as welll. Ah, I want to go to a dim sum restaurant so badly now.
Ha gau is my most favorite. Wonton is my 2nd but has to be homemade though. I can substitute chicken for pork mixture with shrimp. I've been thinking about wonton egg noodle soup....yum yum.
