heck no that doesn't mean you shouldn't get married. you get married when you fall in love and commit yourself to you lover. marriage is a life-long committment - not an excuse to make babies.
You don't necessarily need to have kids if you get married, many couples decide not to or others aren't able to. ITs a personal choice however, most adults like the idea of grandkids, so that's probably why she said what she said.
