Wait, I thought there was an Android version coming out? I am anticipating that phone for a while to replace my slow HTC Dream.
the design of x1 looks better than the x2 in my opinion. but ofcourse it all about specs and not about the design.
The cpu is slow qualcomm 528 MHz processor, other brands are using 600-800mhz cpu, or 1ghz (HTC Snapdragon). Hopefully their rumored X5(android) will have better specs
I like the design, except for the keyboard.... the keyboard looks like the oldstyle keyboards from pc's.... personally I think it would've been better if they used aluminium style keyboards... hope it won't be as slow as the first xperia though...
the x2 looks a bit fake. like one of them china lookalike phones. im waiting for the HTC Touch HD 2... hopefully they will sort out the speed, i dont like the look of this, the x1 (black) looks better, maybe this in black would be nice though.
sounds nice but after hearing my co-worker was robbed at gun point whilst sitting in his car in the parking lot for his iphone .. i should reconsider about getting a pricy phone .. probably stick with the old stuffs .. regular phone, blackberry, and pager .. lol
^ the x10 is also android based. the nexus is cheaper than the x10 and the x10 doesn't get the latest version of android. androids cool and all, but i would have prefered the x10 to be windows mobile. frankly, i think the prices for xperias are too high.
Update: (as requested) http://www.engadget.com/2009/09/02/sony-ericsson-xperia-x2-first-hands-on/ Highlights: My Thoughts: Having used the first Sony Xperia, it was an absolute smooth device. Keyboard layout and screen were exceptional. This device had a fair bit of weight to it, but not too much. It seems the X2 has the same weight factor to it. Sony did add their tweaks to the device with the panels. Personally, i never used them. Seems a variation of this will be on the X2. Software and OS were adapted from www.xda-developers.com and the device was running windows mobile 6.5. I decided to move on from this device because my requirements changed. I simply needed a bigger screen. Other than that, i would have stayed with the Xperia and upgraded to the X2. More to come.
