Wow, cool, I love Stephen chow, best comedy actor of all. I am so glad he is still making movie. I watched all his movies.
Chow rolls to Fox for 'Dragonball' I didnt think it warranted a new thread so http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/film/news/e3i5d843c633b3a4760765d1649a8b0e596
isn't it a little late for dragonball.... i think like 10 years ago i was into it.........or was it 15 years...... do people still like DBZ?
I think they can make are really good movie trilogy out of this if done well. I just wonder how much they are going to follow the actual dragon ball to dragon ball Z sequence. I think they should start with Young Goku wondering around as a kid for a the first movie and then build up to the old Goku in a later release. But looking at the cast it doesnt look like that will happen. Cant wait for it
So, is this the movie titled "Jump" which Edison is rumoured to be kicked out of? By the way, Edison andthe CJ7 kid really looks alike their characters!
saiyans have to be somewhat caucasion, when they turn SS, they're basically white ppl. goku looks weird i agree but i can understand why he was chosen
I agree. DBZ great as an anime, but live-action? I'm also kind of glad there isn't that much hype for it yet, since that will definitely bring people's hopes up and that always results in a flop. Granted, cartoons to movies, that is a little different. It's hard to change anime. I like Stephen Chow and all, but turning anime into a live-action movie just does not work. Usually. Edison and James Marsters would be great castings. Not so sure about the others, especially Justin for the main character. It doesn't seem right. I would like to see Stephen's first Hollywood film to do well though. Ganbate!
i think this is gonna be a dumb movie.. why in the world would piccalo be played by a white guy?!?!?! i hate live action stuff it ruins the orignal anime.. argh.. can't believe stephen chow wouldn't know how to produce dragon ball.. bleh...
